Jeanne was... shocked. She was joking.

Was he really that self-destructive?

She wasn't in the best state of mind, herself... The events leading up to this awful mutation were terrible to begin with... things were not going well with the gang, and she had to take her chances away from them. She'd lost control of her life... and now the thing in the sky made her lose control of her own body.

Sam so nonchalantly agreeing to be 'punished'... she didn't know whether she should feel sorry for him being such a doormat, or thankful that for the first time in weeks, she felt the opportunity to have control over... something. Anything.

That all melted away the moment she took hold of him. She HAD control now. That feeling of power. Of doing whatever she pleased. She missed that feeling.

A tiny voice in the back of her mind wanted to eat him up, right there. But she suppressed it immediately, afraid of its implication.

As she stroked her claws - which she had thankfully taken some time to file down beforehand - across Sam's body in idle thought, she could feel his skin and muscles reflexively recoil as he uttered a short peep of a stifled laugh, squirming slightly in her tight, many-armed grasp.

Oh, this was going to be WAY too easy.

Jeanne grinned, mischievously.
