Fucking Google autocomplete voice to text. I was sending a hinge message that contained the phrase "on most days" and as I moved my thumb to hit the send button I watched this fucker change it to "on most Daves", but it was too late and I was already hitting send. I'm done man

They need to just stop making games. We have enough, there are too many of them

Sometimes I just take stock of what I'm doing when I'm alone and think if someone were to come upon me the only thing I could say would be, "wait I can explain, I'm mentally ill."

I'm not done with it yet but the first couple episodes of spider noir got me out of a really fucking bad mood.

I've spent weeks and too much money trying to get a new stream setup working and I've got nothing to show for it. It might be over guys

000

Rye Royal @ryeroyal.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

It should surprise no one that I don't think I can stream today. Work went extra long and I still have a lot of tech issues to figure out. Hiatus continues, we'll get'em next time

Listen up Chicago, you have 3 days to drop 35° because I'm visiting and I just found a new coat that I want to wear

Rye Royal @ryeroyal.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Guys I'm desperate to get the new stream setup working but i cant get the new hardware/software to play nice. I need to reorder some stuff which i can't make happen with just effort. All this on top of my summer continuing to get worse and more demanding. No Stream yet :(

Rye Royal @ryeroyal.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

I really want to stream but I think I'm going to hold off another week. I'm sorry. When I do come back I think the streams will be all the stronger for it.

My YouTube hot take is that if I have watched less than 1 minute of a video I do not want YouTube to remember my place in that video. Most of the time it is just the automatic preview skipping the intro on accident

I'm sorry guys I guess small hiatus from streaming. Summer has been going poorly and I think I'm going to try revamping my setup so I'm not suffering thru streams anymore. Good news is new video as soon as yt can process it!

I had an older millennial coworker actually go thru the whole fun fact. Said the word and everything. Whats fucked up is that he is still probably the wokest one there.

Man, i just spent an hour writing a reddit post I feel gross

Rye Royal @ryeroyal.bsky.social · 24/07/2026

My main use for the term indie is when someone asks me what kind of games I've been playing I can say indie. which is basically just a passive agressive way of saying "if you actually care you need to ask again."

Rye Royal @ryeroyal.bsky.social · 09/07/2026

Fyi no stream today. Go watch and donate to #sgdq instead

Bluesky really is the cool kids club. Seeing so many people that inspire me more closely interacting with the comments and stuff feels neat, but its also basically this every day

Another year another LOT of games to talk about. Check out my newest video where I say 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 about every game I played in 2025! (links in thread) 1/3

My hot take is that Geoff keighly deserves a lot of the criticism lobbied against TGAs but if he just stuck to Summer games fest he would be more or less unanimously accepted. It's just such a more honest representation of what he wanted to do

:( I had a review written for Mars First Logistics & I went out of my way to talk about how g8 the monorails were for engaging players in planning bc they could toss u out if u built them dumb but when I went to get a clip they patched them slower now its dumber & less rewarding

I only just checked my past broadcast page on twitch to find dozens of views! I'm so glad some of you are checking out streams you couldn't make it to live, but I don't plan our curating that page much so if you want VODs I recommend my VOD YT

It's been said before but it's actually fucked up that Luigi's menus don't use B in Mario and Luigi brothership. Like it even fucks up your attacks

Rye Royal @ryeroyal.bsky.social · 17/05/2026

I watched GameOverse and it was really great but it really makes the whole pilot/ep1 thing even harder to parse. The trailer should've been the pilot and this should've been ep 1 narratively, you need both. I get there is production stuff behind it but its just a little messy now
