Update #3 on my High Republic catchup! Only read Path of Deceit since I’m starting Bad Batch Sanctuary tomorrow, but man that was a great (and sad) start to phase 2!

Update #2 on my High Republic catchup! Got busy but finally finished up the last of phase 1! Gonna look through to make sure I have and everything for phase 2 and get a book or two done there before The Bad Batch novel comes out!

So I’ve been seeing these Hot Toys bobble heads pop up on my TikTok and noticed Walmart had them. Pulled Maul and Sidious yesterday and then got the Vader chase today!

According to Independent Talent, a talent agency in London, we might have our Ahsoka Season 2 directors: Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Anders Engstrom (Percy Jackson and the Olympians), and Jennifer Getzinger (Ahsoka S1, Mad Men, The Penguin)! Link to source below!

Okay, these prestige cards from the upcoming Star Wars Unlimited set that you can combine to make a bigger image are nice!

Want to keep track of my attempt to catch up on The High Republic so here’s everything I’ve read prior to coming back earlier this week! Will try to update once a week with hopefully 1 new addition to the stack. Hold me accountable if I forget to update or add something new 😅

It’s time for me to play catch up with The High Republic…

I’m severely behind on The High Republic but my signed copy of Trials of the Jedi came in today!

Just found out the new Star Wars Unlimited set coming out in July, Legends of the Force, has High Republic focused cards so I may have to get back into it...

I may or may not be severely behind on The High Republic so my summer plan is to fix that…

My in flight entertainment to Tokyo. If I somehow get bored then something’s wrong with me

These are just a few of the Celebration pins that I really want this year. The Jecki one is part of an Acolyte pack so I’m not worried about that one. It’s the ones in the mystery boxes and sponsor vendors I’m worried about… www.starwarscelebration.com/en-us/explor...

The main panels for Star Wars Celebration that will use the panel reservation system have been revealed! No overall Lucasfilm Showcase panel is actually very shocking but so is an entire panel dedicated to The Mandalorian and Grogu a year out from release

I think James Mangold should cast Timothee Chalamet in his Dawn of the Jedi movie

Time to forget about the drama and news of today and read some kino!

Ollie’s just opened up here and decided to check it out during my lunch break… $12 for all this and they had some of the new Star Wars comics for dirt cheap too! Going back for that eventually.

Ryan @ryanpw.bsky.social · 15/02/2025

I have a thing for cool and different variant comic covers, especially if they’re not relevant to the actual comic So I made another purchase just now…

Typically wait for an arc of a comic to release and buy the paperback before I start reading, but with Legacy of Vader I’m reading as each issue comes out, starting today! Good intro. Incredible art. The return of Vaneé and more info on what exactly Kylo will learn from Vader.

Destiny 2 is going a collab with Star Wars! Launching on Feb 4 with their new episode, Heresy. Honestly wish I was still into Destiny to enjoy this more (though I may still buy the Hunter set, the Death Star ghost, and I assume the TIE)

It’s a nice change of pace when the overwhelming majority of the 162 comments on my TikTok about the recent Acolyte news are positive and people wanting a second season #RenewTheAcolyte #SaveTheAcolyte

In celebration of the #SkeletonCrew finale, here’s my unrelated Black Series haul that just so happened to be delivered today! (I swear I’ll eventually get the Skeleton Crew figures)

Oh, people are having an opinion on a Star Wars project based only on rumors again

Merry Christmas to me, from me! 5 year old me would have freaked out if this is what he found under the tree

030

Ryan @ryanpw.bsky.social · 24/12/2024

I think the only part where Luke is “out of character” here is this exact moment where he confronts Grogu. I don’t think he’s doing this because he’s adopting the old ways of the Jedi regarding attachment, but he knows Grogu isn’t fully into the idea of being a Jedi and wants to give him a choice.

Since some may no longer use Twitter, here are examples of posts discussing the Acolyte in the replies with #SaveTheAcolyte or #RenewTheAcolyte that weren’t hidden

000

Ryan @ryanpw.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

Look at these hidden replies to a post on @MarvelStudios regarding an episode to What If…? Pretty positive, but they’re gifs. Possibly auto flagged? Though sometimes some gifs get through and don’t get hidden.

100

Ryan @ryanpw.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

Disney seems to have this weird social media policy about hiding certain replies, specifically ones with gifs. Some thought they were just hiding #RenewTheAcolyte or #SaveTheAcolyte posts at the Twitter version of this post. But that’s not the case if you look at the replies to this hidden or not.
