🎉🥈🎉 No Time for the Wicked has gone silver! Check it out if you haven't already (shorturl.at/qoB7W). Once again I'll do one #thankaTTRPGcreator every day for the next few days to celebrate. This time around it'll be mainly for folks who helped my adventure get this far 🧵 #dnd #ttrpgcommunity
View from the inside of a train looking out the window. There is no one in the seats on either side. Outside the window the view is all misty other than the reflection of a skeletal figure. There is a title across the top that says "No Time for the Wicked: Trapped on the Cyre 1313." On the top right there is a badge that says silver bestseller. On the bottom left is a small icon that says "A Ravenloft Adventure". At the bottom of the image it says "Trap your players in a time loop on a doomed lightning rail"

Wanna know what nearly 2.5 years of campaign notes from a perfectionist maniac look like? Take a look at my Obsidian graph. The lines between the nodes indicate connections between notes, and the bigger the dot the more connections it has. More stats in the 🧵. #ttrpgcommunity #ttrpg
Several hundred different colored dots on a grey background. Many of the dots are linked together. The most common dot colors are yellow, red, and pink.

Hi, I'm Ryan. I recently published my first module and it went copper within two months! Its time-loop mystery on a ghost train where the players have a lot of agency approaching to core problem. I've got several other projects in the pipeline so stay tuned. www.dmsguild.com/product/4937...

#thankaTTRPGcreator Between a unique setting, custom time mechanics, and clever writing I loved Magical Industrial Revolution by @skerples.bsky.social. It made for an excellent Domain of Dread/Blades in the Dark game in the middle of my Ravenloft campaign. www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/2...
Magical Industrial Revolution cover. Features a woman standing like the statue of liberty/Athena raising a torch and holding a spear and shield. Next to her is a giant eagle. Behind her is an industrial revolution era city full of smoke.

Twilight Imperium Does it take 7-9 hours to play? Yes. But show me another game where multiple turns of scheming result in you building a pirate death-star out of nowhere 😈. This game generates emergent stories like no other.
Myriad strange alien creatures all looking majestic against a backdrop of spaceships and alien soldiers

Hitman (World of Assassination trilogy) Pretty much every level in these games is a masterclass in level design. Each one is dense and varied and they do a great job of reacting to whatever mayhem the player decides to inflict. These small but dense sandboxes influenced No Time for the Wicked.
The titular hitman looking menacing against a backdrop of the continents. He is bald with a menacing expression, wearing a black suite with a white shirt and black tie. In one hand he carries a briefcase, in the other hand a pistol with a silencer.

🥳🥉🥳 My first module, No Time for the Wicked (shorturl.at/JCUnf), has officially earned a Copper Bestseller Badge on DMSguild! To celebrate, I am going to #thankaTTRPGcreator every day for the next week and tell them what their work has meant to me. Follow along in the 🧵. #dnd #ttrpgcommunity

Blades in the Dark. I haven't played it as much as I want to, but man does this game sing. Flashbacks are one of the smartest mechanics I've ever seen, and every time I tell a player they get to break time their eyes light up with mischievous delight.

Shovel Knight is a perfect game. It has a unique identity, perfect movement mechanics, an excellent soundtrack, and it lasts exactly as long as it should.

Psychonauts. The level of creativity and absurdity blew my mind when I first played it and still makes me laugh to this day. The Milkman Conspiracy is definitely an inspiration for the homebrew Domain of Dread my players are currently stuck in.

Gotta start with Slay the Spire. This might be my favorite game ever and I have an embarrassing amount of hours in it. Somehow its both incredibly deep and incredibly comfortable at the same time.
