Just out for a drive today in Hood River, Oregon. Mt Adam’s Washington in the distance.

I could use your help. I’m looking for beta testers an app I created called Faunero. If you love #travel #wildlife #birding #wildlifephotography or #nature and like to work that into your trips, Faunero is geared towards you. It is a full travel planner and field journal.

We have a few cats. I could post a few thousand photos of them I think. #cat #catsofbluesky #catdad

My new website isn't ready, but I'm sharing some of the images that will be included in the new site. I've probably posted some these before, but it's probably been quite awhile. This is a sunset on Kangaroo Island, South Australia, one of my favorite places. #kangarooisland #australia #sunset

After a couple of days using Opus 4.8, it is becoming clear to me that Anthropic doesn't seem to be trying to make their models better. The weird cultish/religious thing they have going is more important to them it seems.

Admittedly, my photography has been at a bit of a standstill. I've been coding more than photographing in my spare time, though much of it has been photo-related.

It's time to get a bit more active on here again. I took a bit of a social break, but I'd love to start sharing and interacting again. #socialreboot

I’ve been off social media for a bit. I’ve also not been picking up my camera like I should. That needs to change

I was going through some really old photos of me, and I came across this one of me and Steve Martin in Saudi Arabia 1990. #stevemartin #marinecorps #usmc #backintheday

It’s not the best photo, this acorn woodpecker was a long distance away, but it’s the first time I’ve seen or heard one on our property. Others seen here before: pileated, red-breasted sapsucker, hairy, downey, and northern flicker. . #birding #birder #woodpecker #acornwoodpecker #birdphotography

It’s been interesting around here. Photography has taken a standstill as my wife recovers from surgery, I may need surgery and our daughter was diagnosed with mono! And for good measure, an unrelated infection for me. I have to laugh. 🤣 I can’t be too “poor me” as many have it much worse. But, 🤷‍♂️?

A long-tailed weasel. This was the first time I’ve seen one on our property. They are obligate carnivores, so we are counting one him to help keep the rodents in check. . #photography #wildlifephotography #weasel #oregon #wildlife

Sitting on my deck this morning and seeing and hearing these birds is a wonderful way to start the day.

My wife and I took a cable car to L’Aiguille du Midi in France today (April 25, 2025). It was stunning reaching the top at over 3800 m (over 12,000 ft)
