Trump just handed Putin a lifeline weeks before the midterms. Energy analysts say his Russian diesel deal won’t meaningfully lower prices. And a tanker that left Russia weeks before the announcement raises an even bigger question: How long was this in the works?

If you happen to be on Washington’s Coast near one of our tsunami sirens, they will be tested at approximately 10:15 AM using the actual “Wail” sound they will use during an emergency. Not the usual Westminster Chimes sound used during the monthly tests: mil.wa.gov/tsunami
A blue and white graphic which says, “Washington’s tsunami sirens are tested at noon on the 1st Monday of every month with the Westminster Chimes. The sirens are also tested once a year in October with the actual warning wail sound as part of the Great WA ShakeOut. When you hear the tsunami siren wail, evacuate inland to high ground. Go on foot if possible to leave roads clear for emergency vehicles and people with mobility needs. The Great WA ShakeOut is the only day of the year you will hear the siren wail as a test - a good opportunity to practice your evacuation route!A blue and white graphic explaining Washington’s tsunami sirens alert the public to distant tsunami threats in outdoor places like beaches where it may be hard to get other alerts. The sirens are an outdoor alerting method and not meant to be heard indoors. Washington has more than 120 tsunami sirens along its outer Pacific coast, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the Salish Sea, and in the Puget Sound as far south as Edmonds.
