Just realized that I can enable tabless experience in Zellij with github.com/rvcas/room. I'm surprised that is not packaged in nixpkgs. This is must-have.

This is so cool. Now I can explore spectrogram of my FLAC files right on the server via ssh without leaving Zellij. What a time to be alive!

One of my favorite benefit of self-hosted music server is the ability to listen to releases that are no longer available on major streaming platforms like Spotify. I was like 16 when I heard this EP from Kotori. Such a legend.

I want to die because of this confusion. I swear to god.
"KB" traditionally stands for a kilobyte. By strict modern standards, a kilobyte (kB) is 1,000 bytes, while a kibibyte (KiB) is 1,024 bytes. However, people and operating systems long used "KB" to mean 1024 bytes.

Okay, AudioMuse AI feels like the final nail in the coffin for any paid audio streaming service. It is incredible what modern self hosted music server is capable of nowadays. At this point I analyzed only like 5% of my library and it already can produce meaningful results. Looks really promising.

And people are telling me that LLMs are able to read docs...

Alexander @rwxae.xyz · 24/07/2026
This shit drives me crazy. This is exactly why I hate LLMs in the current state. They are lying to you sooo many times in these little details. That sucks.

btw here is exactly how I managed to deploy it with Caddy. Also I was able to configure feishin to work only with my own Navidrome instance.
{ config, pkgs, ... }:

let
  settingsJS = pkgs.writeText "settings.js" ''
    "use strict";

    window.SERVER_URL = "${config.services.navidrome.settings.BaseUrl}";
    window.SERVER_NAME = "${config.settings.brand}";
    window.SERVER_TYPE = "navidrome";
    window.SERVER_LOCK = true;
    window.ANALYTICS_DISABLED = true;
  '';
in
{
  services.caddy.virtualHosts."music.${config.settings.domain}".extraConfig = ''
    handle /settings.js {
      rewrite ${settingsJS}
      file_server
    }

    handle {
      root * ${pkgs.feishin-web}
      try_files {path} {path}/ /index.html
      file_server
    }
  '';
}

The fact that Rust can run tests in doc-comments is sooo cool. One of those things that I really miss in TypeScript. These little details make Rust an excellent programming language. I understand more and more why devs are so obsessed with it

3. Add vscode-eslint-language-server to the list of language-servers for TypeScript/JavaScript/JSX/TSX language in languages.toml. See below how I configured it in the Nix-way with the help of home-manager:

2. For some reason, ESLint couldn't find tsconfig.json in my project. I have a monorepo with a bunch of packages. Each package contains its own tsconfig.json. Maybe it is the cause of the issue. The fix is simple. Set languagesOptions.parserOptions.tsconfigRootDir to import.meta.dirname
  {
    languageOptions: {
      parserOptions: {
        tsconfigRootDir: import.meta.dirname
      }
    }
  },

I bought ADATA LEGEND 900 two weeks ago. Seems like a good option, except for the price (it is doubled since I made a purchase). And you gotta make sure your motherboard supports M.2 connector for SSD.

In July, Kyle signed an agreement with OpenAI to use AI in the UK’s public services. The non-binding deal could give OpenAI access to government data and lead to its software being used in education, defence, security and the justice system.

I think it is not only about qwerty layout. I genuinely believe that all traditional keyboards suck. They are non-ergonomic, require too much movement for hands, and their design is simply outdated. I believe split keyboards are much better. My personal choice is Corne Keyboard.
