I largely agree. My only caveat would be some of these long term baseball contracts with Mickey Mouse terms and deferred money, I think they are reaching an inflection point.

I would be pretty dumbfounded if the Bruins made a serious offer: -Trade Marchand to unload contract, build for future, give him a chance to win, etc -Marchand wins the cup, preforms v well, commands bigger contract range -Resigns with bruins on basically the same team, for less $?

Correct, I understand it’s Sunday.That means it’s starting 3pm Pacific. There’s no way a major network wants a game 7 starting at 3:00pm ish for its west coast market share. Basketball just doesn’t command the same viewership for early games like NFL does.

He’s really the perfect fit with his farm team and affiliate league experience. It could be 2-3 years before this team is competitive again, and by that I mean 1st round /2nd round play offs. Now having first round Marchand trade pick to rebuild with in 2 years will be helpful.

Not necessarily simple to say the system is or is not functioning as a whole, but it is under immense strain.Covid lead to many pilots / trained professionals retiring or leaving the workforce. Add that with antiquated FAA hiring practices and you have a massive staff shortage /outdated tech.
