Behind the scenes of the @vlt.io launch 🚀 The team got this awesome thumbnail ready for the launch video but it was unfortunately turned down by marketing 😂😂😂

Funny, click-baity image of Darcy (from vlt.io) with a huge moustache pointing at a "I BUILT A NPM REGISTRY" message, plenty of other click bait messages all around. Definitely a joke and not a serious video thumbnail.

I'll see if we can compile a Hall of Cursed Packages ☠️ with help from @evertpot.com but from a CLI pov these are some of my favourites (read absolutely worst):

commands in a terminal: npm view - & npm view 1

We're excited to announce the new Insights Selectors to the @vlt.sh's Dependency Selector Syntax. This new information allows you to query packages based on a variety of security-focused metadata powered by @socket.dev! ⚡️

Ruy Adorno @ruyadorno.com · 17/01/2025

oh yeah, we built it right into the `vlt ls` command so that people can share dependency graphs on GitHub and such docs.vlt.sh/cli/commands... Here's an example looking up a package named "tshy" in one of our workspaces:

GitHub mermaid rendered example of the `vlt ls tshy --view=mermaid` command
