ALPR cameras have been in South Carolina for a while. So why the backlash now?
A growing number of news stories show that more South Carolinians are (quite literally) striking back against automated license plate readers. The moment is prompting some deep questions.

Finally it's here, in the flesh!!!
Copies of my new book "Psycholinguistics: A Very Short Introduction". The top of the cover is almost black, then halfway down there's sort of a spray of cherry-red dots, and about 1/3 of the way down, a pink-white almost water-like effect. At the very bottom right-hand corner of the cover is the word "Oxford", since the book is published by Oxford University Press.

In the mid-20th century, it wasn't unusual for universities to turn down research grants. Grants would pay for equipment and supplies to do the research. But the university would be on the hook for providing physical facilities, utilities, support staff, etc. Taking a grant could be a net -ve. 1/4

Australia was great as well. Thoroughly enjoyed Brisbane and Melbourne. I don't know why they put such a nice country so far away from everyone. Or maybe it is nice *because* it is far away from everyone. Had my Vegemite, got packs of Tim Tam, and already play cricket. So I am half Australian now.
