↪ Replying to @mineralcup.bsky.socialMy favorite encounter with calcite was some footprints in what had been mud some tens of thousands of years ago in the long sealed-off cave at Pech Merl, in Cabrarets, France, where now they still allow so many people per year in to see the paintings and wonderful caves.
