The never type "!" has landed on Rust nightly 🦀🎉 "!" represents a computation that can never produce a value, such as a function that always panics, exits or loops forever. If you maintain Rust libraries or tooling, give it a try! 🔗 t.co/1sGZtkoGdk

Rewriting in Rust isn't always a win. @seqre.dev and @mackow.ski creators of @cot.rs, looked at real projects to find out when it actually pays off and when it doesn't. Some got faster, safer code. Others hit bugs or shelved it. 🦀 Read the full breakdown 👇 blog.jetbrains.com/rust/2026/08...

Macros are great at hiding boilerplate, but they can also hide what you need to inspect. RustRover makes macro expansion easier to access from the editor, so you can check the generated code and get back to debugging faster. Explore RustRover 2026.1: jetbrains.com/rust/whatsnew/ #NewInRustRover

If your Rust project is growing, test runs can become a chore. You’re probably familiar with this loop: Run tests → terminal → wait → read output → back to IDE. We’ve made things easier by bringing cargo-nextest support to RustRover. Read more about it here 👇 blog.jetbrains.com/rust/2026/04...

We’re bringing Rust Quick Thinker to Bluesky 🦀 Small Rust puzzles, quick guesses, and tiny lessons from everyday code. First one: what will this print?
Rust code snippet where a mutable vector is created with capacity 3, two values are pushed into it, and println! prints the vector’s length and capacity. The code asks readers to predict the output.
