Big tech companies have this affect on people for some reason. To be fair, Apple does not to my knowledge do all-hands like this, but its the same line of thinking.

I remember we had a huge all-hands meeting at Apple once—these meetings would only happen two, maybe three times a year. And a guy stands up during the Q&A and starts asking Steve Jobs why he didn’t get a raise or a good review. Steve looks at him in stunned disbelief and says, “I can tell you why. Update: this is now confirmed to be due to orchid events. They had a system failure, and now the people who spent the most are getting preferential treatment, obviously. Glad to see that AC will be accessible to those rich enough to afford it! #AC2026

As you are aware, an error in the MeetingMax software last week led to the system continuing to accept
reservations even after the hotel was sold out. Our partners at Orchid Events noticed what was happening and immediately shut the system down, but not before the Westin, the Drury Plaza, and the Courtyard had been
oversold.
