I went through the same thing with Brexit; I lost my business over that nonsense; for a while, I truly thought I’d never be able to trust people again. Thankfully, you do still find that trust for family—eventually; though I’ll admit, I’m always a little on guard now.

I wonder if all the damage Trump is doing doesn’t divide the US too deeply to heal. There’s so much anger, fear, and mistrust being stirred up; not just between left and right, but between Americans and the institutions meant to protect democracy. Can the US unite again after this regime is over?
