according to the wiki, dissonance's luck stat is also fully functioning but is used for exactly one thing: the spawn chance of a single fucking enemy that can appear in like four or five different rooms

while i'm doing magician mode, i'm also doing harmony of dissonance bit by bit and

finished a run of circle, grabbed all the cards (fuck the last two cards being in the battle arena of all places), and turned the dracula fight into a cheesefest curbstomp because i have no respect for this game's design now it's time for magician mode for the last achievement

luck builds are actually a thing you can do and it will reward you with getting hella items because circle has no goddamn shops or money for whatever reason and literally everything is a drop from some enemy somewhere

idk if it was the case on original hardware but when i emulated the game it did not seem that hard to get a mandragora soul; now it seems you have to wait for the skeleton to fully uproot the fucker before it "counts" as a kill

anyway play terraria if you like sandbox games, it's a blast

5. outside of those points, my favorite combo is planetoids, sprinkling in the giant tree maze with i am error, rainbow road, and the drunk and celebration main seed types

3. being able to force enable the seasonal events and start with a completely infectionless world are extremely convenient for very specific purposes and i appreciate that 4. the seed i was looking forward to the most was skyblock but that was before i realized it was going to be a lot of farming

updates on seed additions: 1. i love being able to combine any and all seeds in general, that was the one thing i really wanted from the moment they first introduced secret seeds. 2. several of the "modifier" seeds are great to mess around though i don't want to use them all the time

update on the block types: i found all or most of them i think. my favorites now are the fallen star blocks, the moonplate blocks, easter blocks, and spike blocks. runner ups include harpy blocks, feywood, and star clouds (that last one sadly doesn't have wall or furniture but it's pretty at night)

the new update added six new entries and the wiki still hasn't updated to include them on the bestiary page though some of them have their own pages. thankfully they're mostly not that hard to get. mostly (fuck moss zombies and statue mimics)
