(for whatever reason, bsky said 'no' when I wanted to put the paras around Olivia-mun's handle)

Sure was strange being on a ship again after so long. It wasn't as if Maria disliked the ocean. She didn't particularly like it either, but she'd be lying if she said she hadn't been avoiding it for a while. Swimming was hard when you were missing a limb. So it happened that Maria was out on

Seemed fair enough. No need to knock then, she'd just let herself in when she got there. It takes a few minutes to make the trek to Rosa's house, but she does eventually. Opening the door to the bedroom soon after. "Sorry I'm late, had to find the sweets."

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Seemed to her that her gut instinct was right. She casts a smile down at her phone. 📲:"I love you too." She looks back up at Rattata, extending her arm. Her purple rodent clambers up to her shoulder in an instant.

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

📲: "I'll bring some Nomelheads." A thought. 📲:"Take some deep breaths. Remember where you are now, ok?"

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

"Like, getting training weights for its trunk?" She looks up from Cufant, curious. She was imagining dumbbells, but she wasn't exactly sure where she'd find some designed for it. "That could work. Yeah, I'll have to keep an eye out while we're in Aevium."

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

📲: "I'm not passing down an opportunity to spend the night with you." Not like her Mom would mind, her and Rosa were childhood friends. 📲:"I'll be there in a few. Want me to bring anything with?"

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

It was just practice anyway, not a major fight. Maria had to remind herself of that. It wasn't life or death, like the last time she'd had a battle. "R-right...Cufant, back here for a sec!" She'd squat down, opening her arm for the elephant! She should know better. As soon as it picked itself

Rosa was busy packing her bags for her vacation with Maria, her television in the background playing whatever was on while her Pokémon surrounded her. "I'll be fine, you guys!~ If I need you, you know Sushi, and I can just have you sent over!" Rosa smiles towards her team. They've been pretty-

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

That's unusual for Rosa. She was usually so neat about her texts. 📲:"Almost done. Rattata's worried I'll forget him." That, and her gut feeling make her send another text 📲:"Are you sure you're ok?"

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Well, yeah, she figured that Sushi would dodge. Her excitable pachyderm wasn't exactly battle trained, and this was a Champion-level otter. "We've got the speed disadvantage...Cufant, use your trunk to pivot!" That strong trunk of Cufant's was tailor made to dig into the earth, it slams into the

She's sensing Rosa's feelings right now. Something's troubling her girlfriend. Best to stop packing for now and check in on her. "Yo, you ok? Felt a little weird for a moment..." She sent her a text via phone, casting a glance to Rattata afterward. He'd already packed himself into her suitcase

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

After a moment of cuddling from the one armed trainer, Cufant stands up straight, letting out a trumpet from it's horn! "Ok, think we're ready! Let's start with a Tackle attack!" It's a fun TACKLE from Cufant, there's a genuine smile on Cufant's face as it charges forward!

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

"Oh yeah, that's a good idea! Cufant'll definitely be right at home around your Pokemon!" Speaking of Cufant, Maria gives its ball a toss. The elephant wastes no time in nuzzling right up to her! "Easy there. We got challenged to a battle, so let's do our best, ok?"

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

"Ah, true..." She's still a little hesitant, but she's already grabbing Cufant's Poke Ball. "Right...hopefully Cufant doesn't mind being sent to the PC for a while after this..."

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

"It could be fun. Sushi's kind of nuts though, you think we even stand a chance?" Not like she's ever battled with her affectionate Cufant before. It's a little hard to convince it not to snuggle against anything friendly!

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

"Good point. I'm not unfamiliar with other Pokemon, I mean, I have Cufant and all...but I've never battled with it either."

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

"We'll probably have time to do it after getting to Aevium, but I can't really complain about getting some extra training in." Especially when it comes to spending time with Rosa!

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

"Uh..." She winces. "Once. It didn't uh..." She pats her prosthetic. "...didn't pan out well. To put it lightly..."

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

"That's what I was thinking. I'm very used to that whole 'hit and run' style of battling, so discovering new strategies sounds fun!"

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

"I'll look up prices for tickets then! I'm thinking we start from scratch again, but we take our old starters with us? Like you bring Sushi and I bring Rattata?"

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

"I'm down for it if you are. You've got vacation time coming up anyway, don't you?"

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

"Vacation time? I'm down for tackling a different region. Maybe they'll have a Gym Challenge there that me and Rattata can tackle?"

020

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

"Aevium, huh...?" She's looking at a brochure right now. Seems like it'd be an interesting spot to take a vacation...?

030

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

Well if she's sure...admittedly she finds herself catching herself taking glances at Rosa more than concentrating on her own looks.

020

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

True... ...would Rosa help her get the top on at least? It's a little hard to tie a knot with one hand. Especially trying to reach behind her.

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

Also she can't swim. She used to be able to, but losing an arm makes even treading water much harder.

000

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

But...Maria would definitely say that she doesn't have a beach body.

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

Ah damn...her girlfriend really did go and choose the prettiest swimsuit, didn't she? What a knockout she was...

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 23/06/2026

"Gotta greet Rosa for her birthday...I was way too late finding a gift for her, but maybe just spending time with her is all she'd want?" After all, Rosa could probably buy whatever she wanted anyway.

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 23/06/2026

She'll support that career choice. She's also aware a certain birthday is coming up too, so she's preparing for that.

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 17/06/2026

Maria's head turns to focus on Rosa's face once her hand meets her cheek. If that was how Rosa felt, then she hardly could blame her for wanting her. "...Rosa...you're definitely too good for me. But I'm not complaining at all about it." Another light kiss to her cheek. "I love you so much..."

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 17/06/2026

"I guess it's...you ever feel imposter syndrome? Like, not that you're not good enough, but that maybe someone else should have been there?" A similar peck is returned! Along with soft back strokes. "I count myself super lucky to have you. I just sometimes wonder why you chose me of all girls?

110

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 17/06/2026

Her arm moves to Rosa's back to keep her balanced. She could sense this was her wanting to just lean against her right now! "Ok, then to the general public I'm your main squeeze. Some random girl you chose to date for some reason. I didn't say that you saw it the same way~"

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 17/06/2026

"So did you! I mean, you're Champion of the Region! And a successful actress, and occassional Musical star. Comparatively, all I can do is keep the rainclouds away from you." Her petting stops for a moment, resting a hand on Rosa's shoulder. "I love you, Rosa."

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 17/06/2026

"And I'm glad too. You know, because you accepted me protecting you all that time?" In retrospect it seemed silly that Maria wasn't catching the signs. The looks, the eagerness to hang out, the winks...

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 17/06/2026

"Guess that just makes sense...I always wanted to play the hero so I could save the princess." And Rosa, she realizes, was always the first to pipe up whenever they were playing pretend as kids. Whenever Maria was the one to be a lead character, she wanted to be her supporting lead!

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 17/06/2026

"I didn't want to overstep my bounds, that's all..." Her eyes will start to wander at this point. Gentle pets would ensue of course! "You really are stunning, and it's not just because of the bunny suit. Is it fair to say I've always had a soft spot for you?"

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 17/06/2026

"Well you have that in spades. It's a good fit on you too." Nod nod. She's smiling back at Rosa, bringing her hand to gently rub at Rosa's hair.

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 16/06/2026

"What prompted the role, if you don't mind me asking?" She's keeping her eyes very respectfully on Rosa's face!

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 15/06/2026

"My girlfriend has a new role as a bunny girl in a movie and I. Cannot. Take. My. Eyes. Off. Her."

120

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

She could go for a beach date...admittedly it'd be nice to be out and about again after the Secret Base action!

040

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

Rosa's the looker of the pair, Maria's quite sure of that!

030

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

Rosa's a bombshell, she doesn't need to worry about a thing!

020

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

She's also trying to decide what sort of swimsuit she should even wear?

020

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

"Hey, you cheer me on enough as is. If anything, I've gotta be the one throwing the cheerleader gear on." Maria takes Rosa's hand!

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

"Heh...well you've always been a heck of a cheerleader. Guess I can get over my nervousness if I know you think that!"

010

Maria Dietrich @runrattatarun.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

"That'd be nice. Familiar territory, right? Sorry, I know I should be more excited about it, but I dunno. Guess I'm just being self consious?"
