our vet used to have an adoption room in the waiting area, and it usually had adorable kittens, but one day there was a 2yr old named anthony with valentines on the windows wishing him a happy furrever home and he had to come home with us. that was 8yrs ago this week.

the devastation from wildfires is immeasurable, whether it involves celebrities or those without a platform to share widely. canada has had its fair share of wildfires. the worst in recent history: Slave Lake (2011), Fort MacMurray (2016), Lytton BC (2021), Yellowknife (2023), Jasper (2024).

i just got this yesterday. zakaria amara was a leader of the toronto 18 terror plot. while incarcerated he walked away from radicalisation, now helps others do the same. this is a stunning book in how it is printed (click through the link) and is a combination of essays and poetry. just beautiful.
