The 8 NE Wales parkruns welcomed 1061 participants (-34 on last week for 7 events; +56 on last year for 7 events) and 188 volunteers supported it all. The weather forecast & a big local marathon impacted attendance. We had fun though & the rain stayed away! #parkrun #running

We are a young parkrun and we were nearly overrun on our second event (the ‘no announcement’ policy meant the first event was small) - hope it goes very well for you all!

No further bird of prey sightings this week on my cycle ride to work (so far). Later on, one of those runs where you have an animated discussion with your fellow runners the whole way (4 miles) and sort of forget you are running. #sunrise #running

In the UK this is a known as common buzzard and is a different family to hawks (like sparrow hawks) - but is not the same as what is called a ‘buzzard’ in the US which is actually a vulture. I’m no expert and there are loads of videos explaining the difference! All amazing!

Didn’t manage to video my encounter with a barn owl early on Friday (just wanted to marvel at it!) but did wrangle my phone in time to get this buzzard. Non-running day today (so cycle commute and spin bike instead) #running #cycling #buzzard

Thanks! There are a lot of volunteers at ‘our’ parkrun who run and volunteer and also love music and dancing - so we try to combine them at our marshal positions! 🎶 Not sure we’d win any competitions except for enthusiasm! 😂
