Now rereading “Black Boy” by Richard Wright as a colleague wanted my opinion of the book. Especially on morality and its relationship to “Native Son.” So I’m going to read the first part of “Black Boy,” then “Native Son” and then the second part of “Black Boy.” #BookSky #BlackBookSky

The things that go through your mind when you reach a certain age. Today I sat down and heard a ripping sound. My mind immediately starting playing the guessing game: A. My shorts 🩳 B. My boxers 🩲 C. A body part just broke

Currently reading “This Ravenous Fate” by Hayley Demmings. The beginning seemed quite formulaic but fortunately I was wrong. It has not followed a formula and really makes you look at relationships as you go along. #BlackBookSky📖 #BookSky📖

I thought it was interesting too, but there are 3 cities who maintain their own library. But they have a limited reciprocity agreement with the county library. Only 1 of the 3 is within the range of the county libraries, so I don’t mind going to it every now and then.

010

BookReaderWest @runnerwest.bsky.social · 14/05/2026

See what happened is not all the libraries in my county are in the same system. Then somebody recommended a book and it happened to be available in my usual system. And if I’m going to drive all that way for 1 book, I might as well get 5 and make the gas worth it.
