First bluesky post!! Took me long enough! This is Petra - my Spyro the Dragon inspired OC. She is a graceful representation of the original Spyro 1 dragons, who are encased in distinctive turquoise crystal. She may be small - but she's mighty! #art #spyro #illustration #krita

A digital painting of Petra the Dragon, who has a dark turquoise frame with gold wings, horns and belly/neck. Her structure is very reminiscent of Spyro the Dragon, and shares significant similarities, with the exception of the distinct colour as a nod to the crystal casing of the trapped Spyro 1 dragons. She is pictured as being quite small, with a stern but calm appearance to indicate that she is a friend - but don't cross her!

The process of drawing Petra the dragon, in stages. The first three loose sketches demonstrate the outline of Petra, whilst the fourth thumbnail demonstrates the colour blocking process. Finally, we have a blended and rendered Petra in her final form!
