It is October; in other words, it is the perfect time to listen to Ice Nine Kills.

The Konami Justifier for the Sega Genesis looks insane; it resembles a revolver, which was controversial in the 90s, and it was included with Lethal Enforcers, a decent game.

It has been three decades since the release of the Nintendo 64 in North America; this console is a childhood classic of mine, and I have a few favorites on it, such as Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The N64 was successful in Western regions, but it was a failure in Japan.

One of the first things I like to do when I start a new save in Oblivion is to cause trouble in Hackdirt, such as "borrowing" the Bible of the Deep Ones; I merk the citizens once I have completed the side quest involving Hackdirt, making it an abandoned town.

As it turns out, I am going on another cruise in December, in addition to the Japan trip in 2027.

Since Activision is in charge of Rareware now, I have a feeling that it will turn Rareware into a support studio to help with the Call of Duty franchise, like High Moon Studios, for example. This feeling scares me.

Before I went on the cruise, I purchased the full event pass for Game On Expo, so I will be there from January 15 to 17, 2027. I am hoping Scott the Woz will be there because I have a spare Madden 08 for him to sign; if not, I will have to go to a convention on the East Coast after Japan.

While I was out at sea, I had The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on my mind the entire time, as it is the first game I think of when it comes to exploring the sea. Perhaps I should revisit that game; it has been a while since I last played it, but the question is, what version should I play?

I wish copies of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered for Nintendo Switch 2 were easier to find, and I refuse to get the digital version because the game takes up almost 60 GB.

I am back from the cruise and I had a lot of fun, but I got sick towards the end; however, I am feeling better now, so it is not too serious.

Well, it's time for me to go on a cruise and take a break from social media, but I will return in the latter half of September, refreshed with new ideas. In the meantime, if you need me, please contact me on Discord or Facebook Messenger since I will have internet access on the ship.

Final Fantasy VI and Phantasy Star IV, two of the best RPGs made in the fourth generation of gaming. Yes, I'm aware it says Final Fantasy III on the label, but Square skipped a few installments back then, so they added a III to avoid confusion. Please play both games.

I saw Coyote vs. ACME, and I loved what I saw. I mean, this movie was a lot of fun. I recommend watching it because I won't spoil it; because it's absolute cinema. Thank you, Ketchup Entertainment, for rescuing Coyote vs. ACME, and I hope it does well.

It's been almost two decades since the release of Emanuel's second and final album, Black Earth Tiger. While I love Emanuel's previous album, Soundtrack to a Headrush, I think I like Black Earth Tiger a little more, and it's a shame the band broke up in 2008 while working on a third album.

Rest in peace, Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime and other characters. Now, Optimus Prime's death scene in The Transformers: The Movie will hit harder. Rest in peace, Dolly Parton, Hayden Panettiere, Tim Curry, and other people who passed away in 2026.

I'm glad Terranigma is getting a re-release on modern consoles, but I do hope Illusion of Gaia and Soul Blazer get the same treatment. Also, I don't have Soul Blazer at the moment because it's expensive to obtain the US version of the game, but I'll get one in the future.

It's been three and a half decades since the Super Nintendo came out in North America. I adore this console; I think it's one of the best consoles of all time, and I have many favorite games on the SNES, like A Link to the Past. In the end, the console was successful and won the console wars.

It's been almost four decades since The Legend of Zelda was released in North America on NES. While the game is antiquated now, back in 1987, it was a sensation and spawned a franchise, with the most popular being Ocarina of Time. This franchise is a personal favorite of mine.

I ordered the parts to upgrade the PS3, like a new 1 TB hard drive and a connector to connect the hard drive to the computer. The 80 GB hard drive isn't going to work once I mod the PS3. The parts should be here in less than a week. Also, I love how this PS3 looks.

Earlier, while running errands, I stopped at the local video game store to pick up the original model of the PS3, and it works. This PS3 has 80 GB of storage, which is not a lot, but I can replace the hard drive later, once I replace the thermal paste. So, yeah.

It's been over three decades since the release of the Sega Genesis, or Mega Drive outside the U.S. While not popular in Japan, the console was popular in Western countries thanks to an aggressive marketing campaign against Nintendo and, of course, Sonic the Hedgehog.

000

Christian Perry @runaboutgamer.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

Behind the scenes, I keep Bocchi and friends in a bin, and I do need a new bin since I have a lot more now. I could make a season 2 if I wanted to with the plushies, but I don't want a cease and desist order from CloverWorks.
