Spent the AM in the MD/WV Appalachians, back home to Annapolis by evening. In between we saw suburbs like we used to live in, and it was like viewing the uncanny valley of what a community looks like. No personality, no character, just bland structures and 2 acre paved surfaces at gas stations.

I'm watching Return of the Pink Panther (1975) with my 14yo and let me tell you, it has largely held up quite well. And the joy that Peter Sellers and Herbert Lom bring audiences transcend the times. Comedy is like a tonic that grants us endurance against The Horrors. Always laugh, if you can.
