I still expect Canada - USA trade negotiations to continue. If we eventually get a complete break then Canada needs to immediately change many of their laws that benefit corporations over people. We have constantly changed our laws to appease the American corporate behemoth.

Canada really need to make sure we are not locked into the Apple and Google mobile wallet systems. We should be able to use our credit cards and store tickets on our phone without those 2 big US corps being a requirement.

"Europe is worse because they don't have dryers" is a wild take. Aside from the fact that they do, hanging your clothes is more efficient because you don't spend money on energy and more healthy since you are active for the 3 minutes it takes. It’s a lower GDP stat, but a higher quality of life

The new Gemma4 model seems pretty good but it is too locked down. If you ask about any subject even closely related to something it has deemed dangerous it refuses to answer. This limits it's use for me to look up some basic science related to something I am curious about.

For many of the android apps that need google services installed on the phone the only reason they use google services is for phone notifications. Why do you need an external server to have phone notifications?
