I implore everyone to go see #ProjectHailMary as soon as you can. It’s a masterfully fun and powerful movie. Not a drop of cynicism throughout and it leaves you feeling uplifted. This is the reason we see movies! See it. See it on IMAX. See it with friends. It’s fantastic!

Fantastic 2026 #Oscars all around! What an incredible year for film. Thrilled with so many of the results, most notably Paul Thomas Anderson and Michael B. Jordan winning in their respective categories. Here are my highlights:

It’s legitimately insane how few of these I actually agree with. But fwiw One Battle After Another is a movie I’m totally happy with winning despite it being lower on my list of films this year. It’s an extremely well made film.

Geoff Keighley has spoken out about his late father David Keighley not being included in the In Memoriam at The Oscars. David Keighley was IMAX's first-ever chief quality officer and is the reason why movies like ‘Sinners’ and ‘Oppenheimer’ have been able to shoot in the formats they have.

Just watched Train Dreams. Managed to get it in before The Oscars on Sunday. Excellent film. Beautiful shot. Very powerful and sad. Shame it has no real shot at winning Best Picture but it definitely earned its nomination. Highly recommended provided you’re in the right mindset.

Saw “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t die” today. This movie is fucking bananas. It left me with two feelings: it’s either brilliant beyond comprehension or a movie that tries just a little too hard in some areas and crumbles under its own weight. Still processing, but either way I loved watching it.

Finally watched Wake Up Dead Man. Took me way too long but WOW. Absolutely phenomenal. Better than expected and easily my favorite of the three Knives Out films. I’m left speechless. Would’ve made my top 10 of 2025 had I seen it in time. Definitely watch it!

Return to Silent Hill is pretty decent. Not great and nowhere NEAR the OG film…but not a train wreck. Clunky pacing, some odd changes, but it’s nice to see some of the game’s famous moments on screen. A fun adaptation that works best for those familiar with the game as opposed to newcomers. 6.9/10

Just got out of a showing of No Other Choice. Fantastic film. Park Chan-Wook is such a unique storyteller. An insanely whacky movie that’s also dark but surprisingly funny in all the right places. Good time and a good flick.

Just got out of a showing of Labyrinth 40th anniversary. What a tremendous experience. This is the first movie I ever saw in a movie theater as a kid. One of my top 10 all time favorites. I can recite it front to back. Seeing it in the big screen again was truly magical. I may go back!

Just got out of Marty Supreme and I’ve gotta be honest, I didn’t love it. It didn’t live up to expectations imo. It’s very well made, and Chalamet is great in it. But I HATED Marty, the pacing is inconsistent, and the energy of the whole movie is just…strange. Not awful, just okay.

Stranger Things - COMPLETE!! What a fantastic show. The final season is admittedly my least favorite. Structural & pacing problems, but it was still solid. I enjoyed the last episode overall. The final scene was about the BEST way the show could’ve ended. Wow. Sad it’s over. What a ride it was! 🥲🫡

All right. Just caught up with Vol 2 of Stranger Things. I’ve gotta say that even though this season has a way convoluted plot I’m still enjoying it! And people HATE episode 7 but for the life of me I can’t figure out why. It’s on par with all of S5 up to this point. I liked it.

Avatar Fire and Ash was simply awesome. James Cameron does it again. The claims that it follows similar beats to Way of Water is true, but it’s still new and fresh enough to be engaging and fun. Great action and spectacle with a powerful conclusion. Loved it so much. #AvatarFireandAsh 🔥

The people who make video games for us to play and enjoy deserve so much better than what the modern gaming business provides to them. It’s a pretty fucking terrible industry honestly. As with the film industry I’m just thankful for everyone out there working their asses off to entertain me.
