Saanvi views her as too ambitious (hafsa comes from humble begginings), while Hafsa views her as a coward that chooses the life of a sword more than knowlegde (<<in which this would later end REALLY BADLY)

In the story, Hafsa and Saanvi were both students in the great madrasahs of alchemists and they had massive legendary beef with each other in their scholarly days that mainly stems from both of them belonging in stark different social classes - hence different perspectives on things.
