So far I’ve been gradually getting my hearing back in my left ear and my right ear is only giving the occasional now tolerable stab of pain. Now my right ear just feels like a pressure change after a flight.

I will have to take allergy medicine daily from now on. I was told if I’m not doing better in 24 hours I have to go back for a second form of treatment that they want to avoid due to how painful and traumatic it’ll be for my ear. I will be asleep most of the day per doctors orders.

Sorry it took a while to update. I left the ER around 8am, I have extreme swelling in both of my ears but my right ear is worse. It’s akin to swimmers ear which concerned the doctor since I haven’t swam in nearly 3 years. I was given a steroid to help reduce swelling and pain with painkillers.

I have an ear infection that was exasperated by congestion and allergies. Got an antibiotic, was told to take Allegra and a cough medicine daily to help the antibiotic clear up the ear infection.

Health update: I’m having severe ear and jaw pain that has left me unable to hear out one ear and limiting my ability to speak due to the pain when opening my mouth. My jaw is also swelling. Roommate is taking me to urgent care when they get home
