Live the kind of life that causes people to celebrate your good deeds, your sense of humour, and you yourself. As devastated as I am about Dolly Parton and Tim Curry, we were all absolutely lucky to get to experience their energies growing up, even if only in passing.

I grew up listening to the Christmas record Dolly made with Kenny Rogers during the holidays. Then I was introduced to her hits via lots of different movies and TV shows. I don’t have the deepest connection with her but I’m still mourning her with y’all. Rest well Dolly 🦋

Transgender rights are not a permission—they are the right to live itself 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 Existence doesn’t need any permission, you know. Why does the world treat something so simple as if it were optional? It is the baseline of being human ♡ Chiitan will keep raising their voice.

Chiitan loves and respects transgender people🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Lately, even saying this will get you criticized and slandered In today’s world the crackdown has grown even stricter, and it wants to divide everyone into just male and female But a world where they can live peacefully as themselves matters more🤍🌈

A glowing “mainstream” review of Cheekface?? In THIS economy?? All jokes aside I feel like the hate is way too visceral for them sometimes. I’m always thrilled to see someone willing to give them the fair shake they deserve!

Ruby @rubylikethegem.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

1 like = 1 completely dull mundane fact about me Seems fun! There is in fact more to me besides America’s Local Band lol

The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive

I don’t even listen to heavy metal all that much, but Black Sabbath was the progenitor of a lot of those kinds of sounds. Paranoid in particular was a frequently played song in my marching band days. RIP Ozzy Ozborne 🤘🏻

Had the absolute best time at TooManyGames yesterday! It was my first convention and I certainly hope it won’t be the last! Shoutout to the staff for making sure everyone got through the TRG meet n greet despite the time shortage 😁 As well as to TRG themselves for the great Thrown Controllers show!

While the other kids were out there watching endless SpongeBob, I was watching the Jetsons, Underdog, and Laff a Lympics. I genuinely think I’m a little more nuanced as a person because of it.

Just bought a pass to Too Many Games for Sunday!! My first real convention 😁😁 Can’t wait to meet @therunawayguys.bsky.social and be at a Thrown Controllers show, these guys and their videos have been helping me through some rough times likely. Both separately and together.

Ruby @rubylikethegem.bsky.social · 09/06/2025

Do you like City Pop, synth pop, and other lofi tunes? Do you like 80s and 90s Japanese culture? Want a band that focuses on their music videos as much as the music itself? I present to you: Ginger Root. Watch “Shinbangumi”, you won’t be disappointed 😁😁 (Photo credit to Ginger Root obviously)

A still from the music video for “Loretta” by Ginger Root. The lead singer, Cameron Lew, is dressed in a yellow suit and is holding a microphone as he gestures while singing. Duplicates of him wearing green suits are playing drums and percussion in the background. Lyrics are written in white at the bottom of the screen and in both English and Japanese kanji.
