I'll fully admit Rowling being an awful bigot exacerbates this, but even isolated from that Harry Potter fundamentally repulses me because all the characters are unlikeable pieces of shit. If I wanted a story about asshole family, teachers, and classmates, that was just everyday life for kid me.
