If you're searching for #ColumboTV here, please be aware that the watch parties now take place on **Mastadon** rather than Bluesky now! Any of my old 'promotional' posts refer to watch parties from 2025, not this year!
📺 🙂 Mastodon people!
Get your accounts set up for the new era! 🙌 📺 😀 🎉
Never let it be said that Columbo doesn't keep up with modern technology!
#ColumboTV It is, as ever, a great gotcha! A shame about the BlueSky issues but an enjoyable watch regardless.
I look forward to joining you all for more reliably interactive watch parties soon!
#ColumboTV By the way, while we're here, and since most of you are USA participants...
If you watch and admire Columbo I assume you have solid values... so I can imagine that what's going on in your country might be stressful. Hang in there guys; it will come to an end, eventually. ♥️
#ColumboTV It's weird. I've never noticed this hashtag search delay on BlueSky before today. It's absurdly laggy!
#ColumboTV This is a very 70s sequence with the multiple shots.
#ColumboTV Today people! 🙂
Hope to see you there! 📺
#ColumboTV I can't be with you this month, but have a great one! 📺
Hope to be joining in with you next month 🙂
#ColumboTV
@ottawatom.bsky.social -- we always are ♥️thinking of Greg♥️ on Tuesdays over on Mastodon at #TVMysteries and here every month on #ColumboTV
He may be gone, but he is never forgotten #MYG🕯️ and I always do my little tribute to him every March on his angelversary week (over on Mastodon) YES!!! Just like this parachute reveal! 🤣 I totally thought Johnny was going to get away with murder BTW!
I'll be hosting 2 more episodes of #ColumboTV featuring Jack Cassidy, starting with:
MURDER BY THE BOOK (s1)
Saturday, Dec. 6th, same time 5pm ET / 10pm UK As we draw to a close, and before you depart... hope lives on...
This may not be the last #ColumboTV...
Step forward new host! (at least for now!) Oh! Time for the funny fabric lady!
I love the character actors in Columbo!
#ColumboTV Oh! I didn't even realise this was a Vitto Scotti episode! Yay!
#ColumboTV It's just occurred to me for the first time. I think the crash inspector man is the same actor as in Fun with Dick and Jane!
Gonna have to check now...
#ColumboTV To be fair the jarring cuts between actual concert footage and the crystal clear TV show footage works have been less obvious on a 14" TV set in the 70s!
#ColumboTV Your starting point for tonight's #ColumboTV watch party! 📺
See you in a while! 😀 Tomorrow people! 📺
Hope to see you there! 😀
#ColumboTV Don't forget - less than two weeks until our last currently scheduled #ColumboTV watch party! 📺
Saturday 8th November
Hope to see you there! 🙂 A sculpture from the past final week of class at ESCC. This was the product of two weeks - 12hrs in total. I still need to work more on eyes and mouths but I'm making progress!
#ceramics #sculpture
Thank you for hosting!
I am new to the show and loving it, so I hope someone who knows and loves "Columbo" well enough to put the watch party polls together will volunteer to take over in your stead!
📽🎬📺✨️🐶🕵🔪❣️🦋
#ColumboTV Thank for joining in everyone! That was fun!
Four weeks time - put it in your calendar! - Swan Song - our last scheduled #ColumboTV watch party for the time being.
Hope to see you there! 🙂 Oooh! Coming soon: Columbo and his magic appearing photocopies!
I love how proud he is of his trick of pulling copies from his pockets!
#ColumboTV I can reveal that last month's #ColumboTV poll actually had a split vote - two episodes with equal votes... we're watching one now, and I figured it made sense to watch the other in four weeks, for our final Columbo watch party for the time being... appropriate enough for our 'Swan Song'... This is a VERY good episode; so much going for it. So good that the appearance of Sgt Wilson, which would usually be a standout feature, is something I'd totally forgotten - among all the other brilliance. And the new coat!
#ColumboTV I seem to recollect we're coming up to the cringiest bit of the episode - the ACCENTS! 😱
#ColumboTV This magic dealer is so convincing that I actually thought they might've roped in a genuine dealer to play the part. That's not the case - but it's an exceptionally accurate depiction!
#ColumboTV That middle-aged balding waiter, in the course of saying Santi might need a brandy to calm his nerves just called him the 'old boy'.
THE OLD BOY!? 49! FFS!
Not that I'm sensitive about that age or anything!
#ColumboTV His opening tricks! It's all so UNBELIEVABLY camp and cheesy!
I LOVE IT! ❤️
#ColumboTV I love seeing the combination of hand-doubles, 'self-workers' and prop-based stuff used to give the impression of a 'master illusionist' in shows like this. The flawless card productions followed by a horrible false card castle and some DREADFUL 'pseudo sleight of hand'!
#ColumboTV That's a mortice lock. No way in hell did Santini pick that using the paperclip-esque wire we saw him with!
#ColumboTV The black mac freaks me out! Looks so wrong!
#ColumboTV Coo. This episode aired in Feb 1976. Jack Cassidy died in December that same year. Also the year of my birth, out of interest.
#ColumboTV These days before the water tank illusion there would be a high-production-values video reel first. Alas a daughter talking a bit and some rhythmic snare doesn't cut it any more.
#ColumboTV Quite liked that song the boyfriend was singing. Might've just added Charade to my karaoke 'longlist' playlist on Spotify. Could just make an appearance on Friday at the Working Men's Club!
#ColumboTV As someone with an interest in stage magic, I've always had a soft spot for this episode and 'Columbo Goes To The Guillotine' - there's a lot of stuff that's very accurate.
#ColumboTV Starting point for the Columbo watch party this afternoon / evening. 📺
See you in a while! 🙂
#ColumboTV Another six-hour session at the pottery workshop today, in which I got this chap started. Looking a bit derpy at the moment, but hopefully I'll sort that. Only one week left on the course, so lots to do on him next week - including getting him hollowed out!
#sculpture #ceramics I used to occasionally post stuff after my sculpture class when I was on Twitter, but I've never really gotten around to it over here. Anyway... quite happy with my most recent piece, finished today: created in two six-hour sessions. Hopefully it survives the kiln!
#sculpture #ceramics A little over a week until the next #ColumboTV watch party - the penultimate for the time being... and by popular vote we'll be watching Now You See Him!
One of the stonking Jack Cassidy episodes! Join us and find out... will the Great Santini's secrets ever be revealed?!
Save the date: Sat Oct 11th That was a good one. Thanks for joining in everyone 🙂
Hope to see you in four weeks - it's another good set to choose from, so don't get to vote!
#ColumboTV
In the meanwhile, have a good month everyone. ♥️ Oh! I've never noticed that before: this episode is directed by Peter Falk himself! He did a first rate job.
#ColumboTV I always forget about the tyre blow out! This episode enters proper thriller territory for a moment here!
