It's an animated GIF... of radar... bsky.app/profile/rubb... I'm working on some more fun features too. 🙂

While I don't have any tattoos, I really admire the way transparent latex looks on the people that do. Layering is certainly a nice alternative for those of us without tattoos. I have some lingerie and pasties I'm eventually going to experiment with.

Rubber Cat @rubber-cat.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Neck entry is certainly a chore to get into. This is actually the first suit I've made where I've done a one-sided chlorination. It's the best of both worlds and super easy to get into. It's my new favorite thing!

Rubber Cat @rubber-cat.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

How does everyone feel about transparent latex? Would you like to see more of this suit? 😘 Sir and I had a fun play date a few weeks ago. We didn't have the full compliment of photo equipment this time, but we did manage to capture some of the action. 📸: @xcallxmexsirx (on IG) #latex #latexbondage

The curse of being a genderqueer/fluid #latex crafter... having to make everything in multiple gender presentations. I'm working on the 3rd iteration of the "cat catsuit"... now with no boobs for easier wear at cons and events. Tail is done! #furpoc #latexcrafting #rubberfur #latexfur

Kat, facing away from the camera, looks out the window of a tall building overlooking Montreal. Kat is wearing their self-made latex "cat catsuit" (version 1) in Pearlsheen Purple with black stripes and cat ear headband. Their nails are painted black and accentuated by black soft fluffy fingerless cat gloves. This version of the "cat catsuit" features a stuffed tail that Kat holds in their hand as they strike a dramatic pose.

Case in point, this is me doing a #latex Darth Vader #cosplay at Connecticon 2023. Everyone loved it. No problems. I feel like furry conventions are behind the curve on this one. Latex is not inherently sexual. It absolutely can be, but so can lots of other types of clothing.

Add your House Rubbereck lore to the thread! I'll start: The Oily Throne, long the seat of House Rubbereck, is so saturated with latex shine, it is said that any rival who attempts to usurp the throne simply slides off before they can draw a sword! ⚔️👑

Thanks! The fit has gotten better over time. I had a string of armpit tears I'm hoping got sorted out by design changes! Looking forward to seeing how your latest project turns out with the inflatable tail.

Rubber Cat @rubber-cat.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

I have 2 custom patterns that I made with a lot of initial help from Catasta. Both are princess style. One has boobs. The other does not. I've probably made at least 4 suits in each pattern. There's always something to tweak from build to build. So the patterns constantly evolve.

110

Rubber Cat @rubber-cat.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Catasta's materials are a goldmine of information. Everything I know about pattern design came from him!

110

Rubber Cat @rubber-cat.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Pearlsheen Purple is my favorite color! That's why I used it when making my "cat catsuit". 💜💜💜

110

Rubber Cat @rubber-cat.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

Maybe I've been desensitized after wearing latex in public many times, but I don't understand this thought process that a material of clothing is inherently sexual. If I had the same outfit in spandex or a stretch fur material, would it still be a problem?

120

Rubber Cat @rubber-cat.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

Opinions? Would it be in poor taste to wear the #latex cat catsuit to a furry convention in the daytime? Perhaps a version without boobs if that matters. #rubberfur #latexfur

Rubber Cat @rubber-cat.bsky.social · 05/05/2026

This is exactly why I learned how to draft my own patterns and make my own latex clothing. If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. 😄 But yes I agree that gender variant people are not well served by existing sellers.

100

Rubber Cat @rubber-cat.bsky.social · 03/05/2026

Aww, thanks! I made the entire outfit myself, actually. bsky.app/profile/rubb... This is actually v2 of the catsuit, though. The first one had a catastrophic tear the first time I wore it out. 😥

I made some new latex cat paw boots for the Cat Catsuit! Off the shelf lycra platform boots were coated in liquid latex. Thick latex sheeting was then glued to the boot body. 3D printed paw extensions provide a foundation for thick latex paw caps over the toes. #latex #rubberfur #latexcrafting

Thanks! That's actually a dart that's closed with that long skinny piece of latex (both inside and out). It raises the claw area a bit to mimic the bony protrusions on a real cat's paw. I wasn't sure how well it would work, but it seems to be doing what was intended.

I just finished making these... Latex cat paw bondage mitts to go with the "cat catsuit" outfit I shared earlier. These are 1.13-1.45mm thick with a non-stretch cuff and locking zipper. They should look really cute with the rest of the outfit. #latex #latexcrafting #rubberfur
