Getting back into 3d tracking is always exciting. Really enjoying SynthEyes at the moment, customisable and extremely powerful. And doing supervised tracking is just such a relaxing process.

Good old physics! I modeled an outer shell of an object using Houdini’s amazing VDB tools and slowly activating the RBD simulation on the fractured pieces using a falloff and wind.

Houdini’s Copernicus system is pretty amazing and it has a very creative friendly workflow. All textures here were made in COPs with some different lighting setups. Still only scratching the surface. Your imagination is the only limit.
