It is astonishing how quickly I’m learning to spot Chat GPText. Just saw a post about a subject I enjoy, all stuff I absolutely agreed with, totally within my echo-chamber. Still clearly robot-speak. It’s the Uncanny Valley all over again, the “better” it gets the more obvious it is.

The thing with all this AI nonsense, and the direction the tech sector is travelling in that I think nobody is really quite appreciating, it’s quite how hard the Internet never used to exist, and quite how hard the Internet can cease to meaningfully exist again. I believe that is the path we are on.

I sure did pick the wrong decade to take up voice-work. However, it’s only five years till the next one, and I suspect by then not-being-AI will be quite a selling point. It’s not getting better boys, but our ability to detect it *immediately* certainly is. “AI” isn’t progressing past this point.
