The problem with reading The Stand by @stephenking.bsky.social is that ever after any especially snotty cold or flu is going to be Captain Trips for sure. Like I thought of it this weekend and I haven't read that in a couple decades. O.o

I think this sounds weird enough. I had hoped to complete this while The Return was in production, but everything takes longer when you have to work a day job.

I take umbrage at the hate filled asshat thinking she has any need to share in grief over Dolly. She was the opposite of you in every way. She'll be remembered with joy, and you with scorn.

When I think of the eventual demise, I can't help but see him like Mommy Fortuna from The Last Unicorn. "I held you, that's my immortality." We'll live with his ghost the way we do Hitler's. Those who seek fame for it's sake end up infamous.

Look, I think I did a pretty decent job of this one. Qool Modine's drumming really gives it, it's edge. I can't thank him enough for what he gave this song. I was trying for Squeeze, especially with the singing Drums recorded at the The Center of the Universe by Jupiter Jones. Co-written by Joel.

Remember in 2017, how every week the media was searching for signs that Don might become "Presidential," like they had this thought that a raging narcissist who hungers for attention would fade into the background and just do the job. They should have relentlessly called him out, but here we are.

Inspired, as many I'm sure were, by Dead Poets Society, Philip found a book of poems and he, John, Joel, and I went off to the woods to recite poetry and pretend we were deep. I still love this poem Phil brought to our attention. It reads a little differently on this side.

I know they're going to love it. At the open mic, I heard hints of Peg in a solo guitar piece one of the other guy place. Mostly just that there was that Ba Ba Baa. rhythm at certain spots, and you know, jazz chords. :P

Never divorce the Republican Party from Trump and his actions. This was their design. They pursued this from the 1960s to now. They must own the consequences. Should there ever be any.

It's crazy how these old men strived their entire careers to create a the horrible dystopia that they wanted sooooo badly, and now they're all going to die and leave us living in the nightmare they wanted the world to be. That's some really fucked up shit right there.

Pitchy, but I kept the beat better than I remembered. Playing the drums on this song is so fun because you get to kick things off the a beat everyone recognizes. And then we collectively see soldiers arriving in Vietnam.
