Tetsuro Tamba as Tiger Tanaka was dubbed over by an English speaking actor, as were several of the Japanese actors were. At one point, the producers wanted Toshiro Mifune for the role, but he was busy on another movie. #ImpromptuTheater

It was during filming this in Japan that Connery said he was leaving the series. A lot of it was due to just dealing with the fervor and publicity of being James Bond. #ImpromptuTheater

So one of the early ideas for the series was to have the previous movies lead into this one (hence, why Sylvia Trench in the first two movies was there), but that got scrapped. Of course, this would be Connery’s last Bond movie…for a bit. #ImpromptuTheater

Roald Dahl (yes, THAT Roald Dahl) was a friend of Ian Fleming, and really had trouble with adapting this one as he thought the novel this was based on wasn’t a good Bond story. #ImpromptuTheater
