Doctor Who Magazine doing an issue with free novel exactly A MONTH before I visit UK feels a bit personal.

Pick some pages at random, the ones you're willing to part with, from different projects. Have a list of around 20 different pages with prices and you're good to go.

Listen, if I would say buying this book is my main reason of going back to Harrogate this year I would exaggerate only a little.

Third issue of "Freshly Grown Gardener" is going to print right now, so keep all your fingers crossed for the @thoughtbubbleuk.bsky.social hot premiere!!!

It's almost time! I am coming back to Redshirt Hall, so if you're going to @thoughtbubbleuk.bsky.social then try to find me! Easiest way is to buy something from @paulcornell.bsky.social and @rachaelsmith.bsky.social and then simply turn around!

Closer look at what will I bring to Thought Bubble and where can you find me.

Some time ago I started a project where I adapt one scene from a #DoctorWho story into a comic book page. Four of those were printed in "Doctor Who Magazine". I loved doing it and I need to scrub some time to do more. Would love to draw an official DW comic one day. Fingers crossed!

So that's Friday sorted! Especially that it's also pretty much next door to my hotel. See you there!

Oh boy! It's here! I think this is THE comic book I am most excited for this year. Polish edition of "Spent" was one of my first jobs and the book made a huge impact on me. So happy that Joe Matt's work was finally collected in this big book (that is surprisingly much lighter that it looks).

Collected edition of "Peep Show" by Joe Matt, published by Fantagraphics.

ahhh~ I never do fanart, but I channeled my inner child for these. I still remember trying to sculpt pokemon in modeling clay when I was 9/10. They did not look good. :D

Apparently you need Greta Gerwig and Led Zeppelin to make me really excited about Narnia movie.

Little reminder to my comic book friends over here, that some time ago @jenskstyve.bsky.social made this app to track the progress of your books. I am tracking my own project in this, so I'm recommending it! Also apparenly I still have 42 pages to go, so I better shape up!

That's the most known pronounciation that came from the movie. Constantine from the comics is british, so "-tine" part should rhyme with "fine".

If there's a term related to comics fairs/festivals/cons that we really need to retire it's "pity buys". Let's think of them as "empathy buys" instead. You're facilitating someone getting the story they wanted out into the world and reaching one more reader. There's nothing disparaging about that!

Robert 'bele' Sienicki @rsienicki.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

It's not exactly 'historical', but I hate how people pronounce John Constantine's name. I understand why it was pronounced like that in Keanu Reeves movie where they decided to make him american (hence the american pronounciation) but I feel people got used to it and we're stuck with it now.

I am getting really curious about this movie, because I've seen it being embraced by a lot of people who didn't really liked anything from Innaritu before.

It took me some time, but I think I am finally getting into "Snotgirl" by O'Malley & Hung. It was a rough start (it did have to suffer comparisons to "Scott Pilgrim" and "Seconds" which I both love) but the more I read it all the insane drama and plot twist every five pages started working.

I've come back to my comfort zone with old "Doctor Who" and I think at this moment of my life, it's Sylvester McCoy era.

RT if you've never had a tab of ChatGPT open, period. I honestly to this day not really sure what it is exactly. Is it a webpage? an special app? a new function in something old? Never had a need or interest to check.

My biggest question regarding this is if the remaining volumes of those series would also get the Compact treatment or will it only focus on selected parts?

000

Robert 'bele' Sienicki @rsienicki.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Oh, I believe it's GOOD! I just won't get my head into thinking that it might be as good as Banshees. In my ranking, obviously.

010

Robert 'bele' Sienicki @rsienicki.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

I will not let you get my hopes up for "Wild Horse Nine"! I think "Banshees of Inisherin" was one of the best movies ever and I not expecting anything can live up to this experience, because I will definitely get disapointed.

While it's not money IP it's still IP that is fairly recognizable. I think while both movies weren't hits initially, they recovered in time and the brand is still undamaged. Haven't seen the anime series though.

I just remembered there is a comic book by Jason Aaron on the way and while checking the premiere date I saw the synopsis and well... my post from yesterday kinda got old quickly.

Screen from the press kit of the new Indiana Jones comic: In the wake of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indy’s most notorious villains, including the impossible return of an archenemy, seek a terrifying new source of power to recoup their loss—one that’s fallen into the hands of his former companion, Marion Ravenwood. Now, Indiana Jones has to race to the far corners of the globe in search of a biblical weapon, embarking on an epic quest that will put both his archeology skills and skepticism of the supernatural to the ultimate test!

Robert 'bele' Sienicki @rsienicki.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

I am oppose the idea of recasting Harrison Ford so there could be more "Indiana Jones" movies made, but I admit Troy Baker did an excellent job in the "Great Circle" game, so I hope that character will live on in further games and hopefully an animated series.

I love a lot of stuff Ennis wrote, but there are bits I've kinda grown out of. I couldn't really get into "The Boys", because I felt like everything and everyone was written only to make us feel uncomfortable. Like he was yelling "look how ugly this shit is! Isn't this FUCKED UP?!"

Robert 'bele' Sienicki @rsienicki.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

I'm rewatching "Indiana Jones" series and I really appreciate how not-sequely all those sequels are. There is no ongoing plots, no hints at bigger threat lurking in the dark, no returning villains, no Dave Belloq coming for revenge. Just a bunch of solid self-contained adventures. I miss this.

The first I felt was too much a retread of the original one, I somehow enjoyed the second one, with the underground bidding in a mantion. The third one was insufferable and it hurt even more because it wasted Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Goldblum. "Rebirth" felt closer to the original three movies.

I have few Ncuti episodes inked, because at one point there was a plan to do them regularly for DWM, but sadly the project got stuck in a bureaucratic limbo and nothing came out of it. Story of my life, I guess. Will try to colour them one day and post online.
