We added some similar-ish rules to the Preact org a while back, haven't really seen any decrease in junk PRs (not that we were/are getting a ton to be fair) but it definitely has been helpful as instant-close justification I've found. I spend less time thinking about wording and how to reply.
Screenshot of the Preact org's Code of Conduct, containing the following text:

We recognize that LLM's have become an integral tool for many users, however when using LLMs to help write issues or pull requests, disclose this. Transparency preserves the collaborative integrity that makes open-source communities work. It's the difference between "I used AI to help structure this bug report" (honest, helpful) and silently passing off generated content as your own analysis (deceptive, counterproductive). We as maintainers want to engage with humans rather than LLM-generated messages, put time in your issue report and that will be reflected back.

Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include:

  - The use of sexualized language or imagery and unwelcome sexual attention or advances
  - Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
  - Public or private harassment
  - Publishing others' private information, such as a physical or electronic address, without explicit permission
  - Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting
  - Writing an issue, pull request or comments through an LLM without disclosing this

Tailwind use (which is also guaranteed with AI garbage sites) at least makes it easy to override I suppose.
Screenshot of the following code:

```
function styleImprovements() {
    const css = `
        .backdrop-blur,
        .backdrop-blur-sm,
        .backdrop-blur-md,
        .panel {
          --tw-backdrop-blur: 0 !important;
        }
    `;
    const style = document.createElement('style');
    style.appendChild(document.createTextNode(css));
    document.querySelector('body').appendChild(style);
}
```

Woke up this morning to a dozen notifications from @jovidecroock.com advancing @preactjs.com & its integrations. He’s often single-handedly pushing the ecosystem forward and I wanted to show some appreciation on behalf of all users — without him, Preact would be no where near as successful.
Screenshot of my Gmail inbox on mobile. There’s 7 emails, all notifications from GitHub & all triggered by Jovi

Great, and if you look at stable:
Interop 2025 Dashboard, stable variant. Chrome is at 93, Edge 93, Firefox 81, and Safari trailing at 66.

Firefox's devtools provide me a great reminder at least as they insert a little "event" indicator in the element inspector alongside "flex" and the like, so when I see many of these, I start to ask myself if I can swap this out w/ some good ol' delegation. It'd be nice if Chrome copied this.
Screenshot of Firefox's devtools, showing the "Element Inspector" tab. It shows how FF inserts a little "event" button next to elements, making it easy to spot which elements have event handlers attached and which do not.

This button sits alongside "flex", which is an indicator that both Firefox & Chrome support.

That was FF & Windows, this is Chrome & Windows:

Just FYI, the stylized header gets cut off in a few places on my screen:
Image showing the stylized header of the linked article, reads "Eithe Tailwind is CSS-IN-JS or STYLEX isn'"

The last letters of "Either" and "isn't" are cut off entirely, with "is" and "or" partially cut off too, though still readable.

Was debugging some (potential) memory leaks and discovered Firefox has this really neat graph mode for displaying retaining paths:

The absolute mess that Twitter has devolved into. It should be incredibly easy to detect & remove these, but apparently not for the few who remain there.
Screenshot of my message inbox on Twitter. Shows 5 different chats, each with 130-160 people within with obvious spam titles like "Smart Mining Team" (appears twice) and "Earn money by watching videos". All 5 messages are just from the last 12 hours.

NPM downloads of course signify very little and are heavily inflated by CIs and scrapers, but... it looks like Preact has exceeded 6m downloads per week which is pretty neat: npmtrends.com/preact
Screenshot from the linked site; shows a line chart that displays downloads over time with the latest reading showing "May 11, 2025: 6,012,852".

Well that's certainly a choice

Preact has this one which always gives me a chuckle:
Preact source code, includes a comment saying "labelled break is 1b smaller here than a return statement (sorry)"

Okay, but is this a "Your maintenance request for the washer/dryer that'll flood your apartment was submitted successfully" [object Object] or a "Lmao something went fucky, good luck with that" [object Object]?
A JavaScript alert from my property management company's website saying only "[object Object]"

Feel like a pic is owed after that description:
Black t-shirt with the Preact logo. Logo has been chipped a bit but still recognizable and largely intact.

99.999% of what npm audit detects
"Falling off bike" meme/comic. There are three panels: in the first, someone is riding a bike, holding a stick of some kind, in the second, they've leaned over to put the stick in between the spokes of their front wheel while they're still riding the bike, and in the third, they've fallen to the ground and are holding their knee in pain.

Current temperature, courtesy of the Windows taskbar weather widget. Thank god for the cloud coverage, might be a tad toasty otherwise.

I'm fairly certain this is another example of your past brand work, saved because it's equal parts horrifying and hilarious. Gotta make sure people understand the true range of your art.

As the UI here might give a better picture: Admittedly not quite sure how "Default" differs from "Auto", but the gzip/brotli option (which seems to be the default?) still has CF choosing which to use when. I should add, forcing brotli does seem worse. Maybe a poor compression level?
Image showing the "Compression Options" on Clouflare's site. There are four options in a list: "Enable Zstd Compression (Beta)", "Enable Brotli and Gzip", "Disable Compression", or "Custom". "Custom" has a dropdown menu with the options "Zstd", "Brotli", "Gzip", "Default", and "Auto".
