October 26, 2022: Elon Musk carried a bathroom sink into Twitter's headquarters. A few days later, in Dublin, Ireland, many of us at AoIR were finally letting it sink in: Twitter, one of the most important channels AoIR members had used to communicate, was now owned by a technofascist.

When I was a student, I used to look up dissertations by people whose work I admired, and I loved reading their acknowledgements to get a glimpse into their life (I actually still love doing that). So if even one person ends up doing the same with mine someday, I’ll be happy. 🙃
