Fairyland Cottages, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota (1938-2008) This tourist attraction in my hometown once stood along the north shore of the lake (just off US 10). The 7 Dwarfs and other characters from the movie Snow White (1937) each had their own cabin. Gone, but not forgotten.

From 2013 to 2017 I worked as a bartender at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen. Loved the job, but had a stroke and had to quit. Retired life in DL is pretty good. Made some good friends here.

The Pearson's Seven Up bar was a chocolate candy bar that featured 7 different flavored sections within one bar. It was produced by the Pearson Candy Company (St. Paul, MN) starting in the 1930s and ending in 1979. Fillings included cherry, coconut, caramel, fudge, jelly, maple, and brazil nut.
