Published on polling day, a reminder in the Camden New Journal that Labour is maintaining and expanding the hostile environment that carries out these disgusting raids on our unhoused neighbours. Our group has a range of views on electoral politics but we can all agree: DON’T VOTE LABOUR TODAY
Camden New Journal newspaper page with the headline: 'Hostile' immigration raids on homeless 'are relentless'."While the raids was happening, Labour canvassers gathered in Kentish Town to try and garner votes in favour of those very policies.
Camden say they are running a borough of sanctuary while they support and are part of the same regime that oversees this."

They are so mad that they cant just dismiss the Greens with "Tree huggers, only care about solar panels or some shit lolz" they've pivoted to "Stupid Greens, cant even hug trees lolz" and its as tedious as it is false.

wikipedia has been ANNIHILATED with AI bot traffic for a while now (because LLMs can't get enough of it) which puts a huge burden on its tech and server costs. and now it looks like bots are making unauthorized edits to pages and trying to hack community tools diff.wikimedia.org/2026/10/05/o...
Wiki editing: We’ve identified edits to Wikimedia wikis that we believe are from AI agents operated by OpenAI. These edits were not published to pages with visibility to general readers; almost all of them were testing edits in “sandbox” areas of the wiki. It also included a few edits to the configuration for a citation tool, which we believe were potentially malicious edits that were intended to misuse this tool as a proxy for fetching data from remote services. While Wikipedia policies allow bots to edit when they are disclosed and approved by the community, none of those approvals were sought in these incidents.
Etherpad probing and use: Agents we believe to be operated by OpenAI made some unsuccessful attempts to compromise our public Etherpad, a note-taking tool we host as a community service. Agents unsuccessfully tried to use it to fetch data from other websites as a proxy. Other agents also likely operated by OpenAI took notes about their tasks, though this did not appear to turn into coordination.
Excessive data downloading: Agents we believe to be operated by OpenAI made millions of automated requests to our public APIs to access the knowledge on Wikimedia projects, crawled millions of pages (mainly from our projects Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons), and made hundreds of thousands of data queries to the Wikidata Query Service (WDQS). This traffic may have contributed to a partial outage on WDQS in May. Wikimedia’s volunteers are the ones who come in first contact with, and clean up the mess left behind by AI agents. Rising bot traffic and agentic activity is showing a real impact on the Wikimedia projects and the infrastructure that makes it available for millions of users globally. In 2025, the Foundation reported that its bandwidth usage had increased by 50% due to the surge of bot activity on its websites since 2024. At the same time, 65% of the most resource-consuming traffic on its projects was coming from bots.

Herein lies one of the biggest recurring, and escalating, issues with hostile anti-asylum policies, they don't tackle gangs. Instead they penalise the victims of gangs. It isn't the gangs piloting boats, it is normally people seeking asylum who are forced to by the gangs. inews.co.uk/news/represe...

The Labour council has also overseen multiple incidents of rough sleepers' tents and other possessions being thrown into Camden contractors' bin lorries over the last few years. On Sagal Abdi-Walli's watch. Acting like Labour and the Greens are equally invested in homeless people's safety is absurd.

Sorry but this is daft. "Labour and the Greens should unite against a common enemy (Restore) harassing homeless people on Euston Road"? Labour's candidate was in charge of housing then council leader while 22 people in the borough died homeless in a year. www.camdennewjournal.co.uk/article/cnj-...

There’s a housing policy hustings on Tuesday. She’s not going to that either. Camden’s notoriously hostile to rough sleepers compared to neighbouring boroughs. I was never going to be a Labour voter here let’s be real but I truly truly hope that anyone else who lives in h&stp votes green. I will be.

Sagal Abdi-Wali (Lab candidate) has stonewalled constituents on Palestine for almost three years and knew she’d get asked about it by CMN so didn’t go. Also presided over one of the worst council records on homelessness in London as housing cabinet in council.

Honestly fair play to @zackpolanski.bsky.social for going to the Board of Deputies hustings last night and not giving an inch on Palestine. He knew it would be a hostile environment and stuck to his guns. Contrast to the Labour candidate to was empty chaired at the Camden Muslim Network hustings.

And I would echo the sub headline, it's same in Bristol. w/o the cops these fascists would not be able to even show up. They complain abt two tier policing but the reality is the ONLY way they are able to march in Bristol or demonstrate outside of hotels is thru police supporting them with violence

Important piece and I would add that this has been our experience in Bristol as well. Time & time again Bristol has shown we don't want fascists on our streets & intimidating refugees. Cops however seem determined to use batons, boots, horses & pava spray to force marches where they are not welcome

I know all university leaders hate trades unions but at Brighton they’re about to find out what happens when their workforce doesn’t have a structure and negotiating team to represent them and to head off trouble. It won’t be pretty. Employees won’t submit - they’ll resist in unpredictable ways.
