I keep reading people talking about spectral but also I'm pretty happy with the results I get now just working in WAV. I release weekly so I have to balance quality with getting things done and shipped. I'm sure I'll learn it eventually but haven't yet

Holy cow the folks at #NJWebfest know how to put on an event that builds community. This was my first festival. Went in a little unsure about how it would go. Got swept up in the welcoming energy that Neem, Ned, Katie & Jeff cultivate and surfed that wave with some incredible creators all weekend.

Calculating wage for passion projects is a siren's song that I think has led many of to dash ourselves upon the rocks after following. Also, I struggle to even track time for my paying client work this accurately, so I'm impressed at how hard you flung yourself at those rocks!

I spend enough hours editing in Reaper that I have gotten my workflow relatively smooth. Having a few additional buttons for my right hand *could* unlock some workflow improvements. Anyway, this one is for the ergonomics nerds and trackball-heads out there.

The lack of dedicated scroll wheel (instead replaced by "click-and-hold this button and move the ball") is throwing me, but I want to give it enough time to adjust to it and see if it is as much better as so many folks say. Lots of buttons, and you can program them to do different things, so maybe?

After using thumb trackballs for years, I read enough raves about the Ploopy Adept that I bought one to replace a dying thumb-ball. The ergonomics are off enough (in my standing-desk setup) that a buddy with a standing offer to 3d print me things is making a few accessories. I'm skeptical, though.

Fingers crossed, indeed. There are some shows I used to listen to as much for the system as the players and story, and I'll often pick up a One Shot or Game Master Monday or My First Dungeon to "test drive" a system. But I do think most subscribers are there for the people. 🤷

How was GenCon for yall? I just submitted a panel to PAX U and am waiting to hear back, but that was as much about meeting other creators as getting in front of potential audience members, and otherwise haven't engaged much with cons as a podcaster yet

Nice! It's always hard for me to attribute growth (unless we have a trailer swap going with exactly one show for a while), but I think I also saw some influx when I renamed our show in our feed to include more key words. Thanks for the increase in sample size
