A few weeks ago I participated in a Naked in the House competition organized by @modeladventurer.bsky.social. Each photographer had one hour to shoot with a surprise model (@kalopsiahhh.bsky.social) in a surprise location (artist's studio). ... Continued in comments.

An anonymous photo of a pregnant model from many years ago. I was experimenting with shadows on the figure from a venetian blind. I think this worked well.

She appears to be reclining, but is actually sitting on a bench that is covered with a blanket, being photographed from above. Her breasts are at the bottom of the picture, bulging belly in the middle, and legs at the top. The shadow lines follow her curves. Shadows on the floor create an illusion as if the blind is under her feet.

From a shoot in Gatineau Park with @minhly-model.bsky.social several years ago. I call this one "The Light at the End of the Tunnel."

The photograph was shot from an upper level through a rectangular opening in the concrete which forms a frame for the image.

The vat is roughly two storeys deep with no access at the bottom. Denisa inched her way out over the vat, I took the photo, and she inched her way back to the edge. My assistant and I gave a big sigh of relief. I have often wondered if I should have just said "no" because of the risk, but she was confident that she could do it. She did an amazing job, and I got the shot.
