Happy Christmas to everyone I know on Mastodon. All Saints, Margaret Street, London: tiled panel on the north wall depicting the Nativity. The tiles were designed by Butterfield, painted by Alexander Gibbs and manufactured by Henry Poole and Sons, 1873.

I saw the otter on the River Camel in Wadebridge #Cornwall again last night at about half an hour before sunset.

Trethevy Quoit is a well-preserved example of a portal dolmen burial chamber. It stands in a field just outside the SE edge of Bodmin Moor, near Minions and St Cleer. #StandingStoneSunday

Four large upright overlapping granite slabs form the sides of a chamber with lateral stones at front and back. The back stone is leaning inwards, and the massive capstone which is supported by these uprights rests at an extreme angle. The stones stand in a field with open moorland beyond.

A bit late (it was published last November) but I've only just been sent a copy - one of my Hovis #ghostsign photos was used for the cover of a supplement in The Grocer magazine. The sign is in Catford, London on the junction of Inchmery Road and Sangley Road.

Zennor Quoit - the exterior stones are believed to have been for resting dead bodies against for the flesh to be devoured by birds before burial. The chamber dates to between 2500 and 1500bce and is one of eight remaining quoits on the West Penwith moors #Cornwall #StandingStoneSunday
