letting my bitterness about anireco's blindly spread bad reputation seep in just a little

I come back here day after day, just sitting with my phone and watching back episodes of the anime adaptation of *Phantom Thief Magical Kirin*. People online say it's a passable-at-best adaptation of the original work, with weird changes made to the story to cram it into anime form and make it more engaging, but honestly, having read some of the original manga, I think I prefer the anime. The manga can be awfully saccharine, with unearned victories and deus ex machinae abounding to make it so that the heroine is always right and the villains are always mustache-twirlingly evil. I've advocated for the anime in online Kirinite circles, explaining that though I don't think it's perfect, it's a perfectly enjoyable way to experience most of the gist of the story, only to be admonished for being into the "inferior form" of the work. Just another way that I'm the enemy of all that is good, apparently... God forbid a girl wear the nuance hat.

It's "9 Anime", which is popular lately. For better or worse, Excel Saga is on the list.

⚡i was looking at the sorana magica trailer again and was like…she looks vaguely familiar, but i cant put my finger on it at all…then it hit me: she kind of has the facial proportions of a @shenanigansen.bsky.social character. very large eye size compared to the rest of the face. (not an insult btw)

⚡️ hate this weather pattern... the "roller coaster". the weather seems like it's finally cooling down and staying that way, then it spikes back up to summery levels for a bit
