This one was very interesting, a little out of date now with AI advances, but it’s more than that. Creation of an […]

On to a murder mystery of Samantha Harvey’s, The Western Wind. Here is the online synopsis “It’s 1491. In the small village of Oakham, …a wealthy] resident… is swept away by the river during the early hours of Shrove Saturday. Was it murder, suicide, or an […] [Original post on mastodon.design]

Finished A Shapeless Unease, by Samantha Harvey. There was a story within a story- The inner story was surrounded by Harvey’s, at times, near manic grappling with her insomnia. Having struggled myself with insomnia, I was very interested in this topic […] [Original post on mastodon.design]

The cover of the memoir, the shapeless unease a year of not sleeping by Samantha Harvey. The cover is black and has a tiger walking across it. There is a quote at the top, which says a masterpiece, so good I can hardly breathe. I’m completely floored by it by Helen McDonald.

Just finished Orbital by Samantha Harvey. As one who often reads science fiction and loves Space stories, this was a refreshing spin as there is no regular story formula, nemesis, battle, breakdown, rescue, etc. just a day in space ,16 orbits around the Earth. Such lovely writing, taking full […]
