#ShowMeYourKnits I'm a huge fan of Elizabeth Doherty, AKA Blue Bee Studio. I've really refined some of my techniques from knitting her exquisitely detailed, beautifully written patterns, and her top-down sweaters have added stability in the shoulder area, which I really appreciate.

#ShowMeYourKnits When I saw the "horror story" prompt, this sweater immediately leapt to mind. When it came out in 2007, my daughter just HAD to have it. I gritted my teeth--intarsia isn't my favorite thing--and cast on. From about the waist up, none of the numbers were right. 1/

#ShowMeYourKnits Three protest hats in the spirit of No Kings. A pussy hat, a brain hat, and one that needs some explanation.
Pussy hat in Cascade Pastaza.Grey Matter hat for the science march. I did several of these for my husband and friends. I don't remember what the yarn was.I got tired of brain hats, so I did a Postmenopausal Brain Hat for myself--I cord in novelty yarns, twisted fringe, pipe cleaners, etc., sewn to a baseball cap.Not a hat, but it fits my theme. #ShowMeYourKnits I've knit for Wool-Aid, a group that sends wool knitwear to school kids in some of the coldest areas of the world. I like it because it's for kids, it has to be wool, and they take any kind of project. Wool Aid Ravelry link in comments.

#ShowMeYourKnits Does cranberry count as a fall color? It's my go-to in the fall, since I look sick in oranges. If it counts, here's one more: Alice Starmore's Grapevine cardigan, in her Bainin yarn. And the grapes make it harvest-y.

"That Nice Stitch" cowl in Malabrigo Arroyo.Ecology Motif Pullover, by Norah Gaughan. No idea about the yarn--it was the early 1990s. I was using wool/acrylic blends for the kids back then.

#showmeyourknits, Valentine's version. A member of my online knitting group got married, so we found a pattern for stuffed hearts and knit her a bunc, which she scattered over the reception tables and saved as a memento. These were the ones I did. She ended up with well over a hundred.
