each house has different meanings so you could do this with any house, like your money/assets are the 2H and the parents are the 4H, so if you wanted to see your parents’ money you’d look at the 2nd house from the 4th which is the 5th house, and so on and so forth in perpetuity

so if you’re looking at your partner in your birth chart, you’re looking at the 7H as if that’s their 1H. but if you’re looking at THEIR partner, you’d count 7 houses from the 7th house, which circles back to the 1st house. this makes sense for monogamy cuz like duh, u are ur partner’s partner lol

derived houses are basically for looking at other perspectives by “turning” the chart to project from a point that doesn’t represent you - the 1st house (aka the rising sign) is the self, which is opposite to the 7th house, which denotes the “other” which is the partner, relationships, etc.
