📧 More email verification updates! Not anticipating 🤞 more breaking changes, so if you're waiting for things to stabilise before testing, this is the sign. Android support in stable, dedicated docs, and more 👇 developer.chrome.com/blog/email-ver…
8-step Email Verification flow across Relying Party (RP), Browser (Chrome), and Email Provider (prerequisite: Set-Login: logged-in). 1. Form Presentation: RP serves an email input and hidden email-verification-token input with a nonce. 2. Email Entry: Autofill or exiting the field (blur) triggers background verification. 3. Discovery & Session: Browser checks _email-verification DNS TXT and active session via .well-known/web-identity. 4. Token Issuance: Browser POSTs an ephemeral key to issuance_endpoint (RFC 9421) to receive a signed EVT. 5. Key Binding & Submit: Browser binds EVT to origin and nonce in a KB-JWT, submitting <EVT>~<KB-JWT> with the form. 6. Validate Claims & KB: RP parses the token and verifies key binding against nonce, aud, and cnf.jwk. 7. DNS & Public Keys: RP checks _email-verification DNS TXT for iss and fetches public keys from jwks_uri. 8. Verify EVT & Complete: RP verifies EVT signature with provider JWKS (or falls back to OTP).

I get to do a demo of #fractious at @feelingof.london this week which has me in an incredibly productive mood. So, I've fixed a major performance issue, cleaned up the UI, and spent the mandatory hour or so picking out a screenshot. Maybe see you on Friday?
Let's start with the standard part of the description, it's a web app - your standard window furniture, yadda yadda. However, the controls are somehow both slick and playful. Chunky Fisher-Price buttons on an Aston Martin. Very minimal though in order to save space for this ridiculous deep zoom into the Mandelbrot fractal. A weird glowing magenta Mandala, strange cosmic ropes wrapping a center point with the classic Mandelbrot outline just about visible.

The plot thickens!
A photograph of a poster in what looks like some kind of bar or restaurant. It's been expertly edited, I mean you need a keen trained eye to spot this, to obscure some of the words on the poster. It now reads, "Due to recent events BIGFOOT no longer permitted on the Patio". And us, patio is in title case. Why I cannot say. Is patio actually some kind of brand name, like band aid or hoover? Anyway, I'm getting off track.

God damn, just look at that widescreen plate. You got sausage, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, and, of course, fried bread. There's a cup of stomach-meltingly strong black coffee on the side. Cutlery steam wrapped in a paper napkin. All sat on top of a formica table top. Gorgeous.

Select the best category to describe your complaint:
Poor quality

What is the subject of your complaint?:
Parroting Reform talking points is not journalism

Please enter your complaint:
Your headline of "Reform UK plans to overhaul welfare system to save £50bn" makes it sound like this is a coherent plan with a positive outcome versus cutting and cancelling public services. It's unlikely you would write a headline, "Reform UK plans to overhaul BBC to save £6bn" if they announced they were going to shut it down.

Rather than simply repeating a claim in a headline and acting as a mouthpiece for the organisation, try to reflect an objective and critical analysis of the situation in your headline.

You can update the headline and add a correction.

Invertebrate of the year 2026
Nominate your invertebrate of the year
We’re asking people from around the world to nominate their favourite spineless species for our third Invertebrate of the Year competition. There are just two rules. One is that our noble previous winners cannot be put to the popular vote again.

Last year’s Invertebrate of the Year was a triumph for Milnesium tardigradum, a microscopic multisegmented animal that resembles a piglet wrapped in an enormous duvet.

In 2024, the first ever winner of the Invertebrate of the Year contest was the common earthworm, which won a landslide 38% of the popular vote.

The second rule is that while you may consider some of our leading politicians to be a spineless weirdo, please resist the temptation to nominate them.

On the Inference of Discrete Goal-Scoring
Phenomena via Non-Line-of-Sight Acoustic
Monitoring of Aggregate Spectator Responses in
Localized Commercial Venues

Abstract
This paper presents a robust mathematical and statistical framework for the
real-time reconstruction of association football scorelines—specifically focusing on the
England Men’s National Team during major tournaments—utilizing solely non-line￾of-sight (NLOS) acoustic telemetry harvested from proximate commercial drinking
establishments. We model collective spectator vocalizations as a multi-class, non￾homogeneous Poisson process, where localized acoustic power peaks map onto discrete
state-transitions of the match scoreboard. By incorporating a Bayesian prior calibrated
against the historical decay of national optimism and the asymptotic convergence
toward penalty shootout heartbreak, our estimator achieves a 94.2% classification accu￾racy. We successfully distinguish valid goal-scoring events from disallowed VAR inter￾ventions, offside narrow-escapes, and near-miss groans. Furthermore, we demonstrate
that the high-frequency acoustic signature of pint glasses shattering on safety-laminate
flooring serves as a leading indicator of critical defensive failure.
Keywords: Pub Acoustics, Non-Line-of-Sight Telemetry, Bayesian Goal Inference, Poisson
Point Processes, England Tournament Trajectory, VAR-Induced Despair.
Mathematics Subject Classification (2020): Primary 60G55 (Point Processes);
Secondary 62F15 (Bayesian Inference), 91F99 (Social and Behavioral Sciences).
1 Introduction
Determining the scoreline of an association football match traditionally relies on line-of￾sight (LOS) visual channels, such as a television broadcast or direct stadium occupancy.
