Andy Burnham says there was Russian interference in the Brexit vote, but Nigel Farage has called him a liar, so now, gosh, I don't know who to believe.

That's a wrap on ep 1 of our 3rd season of #Deadlands #TTRPG. The posse were in a strange land. They discovered that Jimmy (the Werewolf owner of the Carnival from S1) had been here many years ago and escaped. Now they're trying to retrace his footsteps to escape. Write-up to follow shortly!

Saturday night, just the much better half and I. Had a great day at Hay on Wye buying books today. Fajitas, beers, music, and films. Hope you're all having a tidy weekend. Cheers!

Hey there lovely BSky-peeps. One of my best mates has been invited to work on a Community project in South Africa by Raleigh International. To make this happen, he needs some help fundraising. Times are hard but whatever you can spare will be ace. www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding... Thank you!

Starting off the scary month with a read of this written by John Carpenter. It has an accompanying soundtrack written by the man himself, his son Cody & Daniel Davies. The end result is a soundtrack to reading that takes the reader back to the 80s & 90s of horror films. Highly recommend it!

The 3rd and final season of our Deadlands campaign is finally ready! For various reasons, it's taken me a while to get in the right headspace to fully flesh it out. Just need to get my players aligned now! I hope I've done enough to stick the landing. 🤞 #Deadlands #TTRPG #CreativeWriting

Being told by the headmaster that someone had urinated in the vinegar dispensers in the school canteen the day before. One of my best mates laughed out loud in an otherwise silent room full of teenagers. He wasn't responsible but it would've looked that way if they knew it was him that laughed.

Ah, thanks for responding to little old me! I suppose I've been waiting 40+ years from a brill adaptation, so a few more weeks should be doable. It's just that it's so close now that I can almost smell the chem-clouds!

Finally got the motivation to do the write-up for the Deadlands season finale which I ran a fair few months ago. Sat in the garden waiting for the thunderstorm to hit and give me that vibe I want. #Deadlands #TTRPG #CreativeWriting

Don't be too jealous. Now I buy boxed set expansions/scenarios for those systems that I'll probably never run. I tell myself that I'll use elements for my own stuff but they rarely get opened. Maybe this thread will be the motivation to use some of it for the end of my Deadlands campaign?

Rounsee @rounsee.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

It's been an eventful couple of weeks. Fell off my bike after hitting a faulty drain & cut myself badly which isn't great when you're on blood thinning medication. Still, the family have been great & have looked after me. Now recovering & smiling. Time for food and films with the fam. Cheers!

020

Rounsee @rounsee.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

That's a fair point. I'm always intrigued by some of the more 'gonzo' approaches like Mork Borg (which I bought purely for the art and page layout). I just reached a point where I didn't like the idea of spending money on a system I wouldn't use.

110

Rounsee @rounsee.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

I have to say, that isn't something that affects me. I have a few old systems that I tend to use (Stormbringer/BRP & Savage Worlds) with the odd dalliance with a Free League system. For me, it's about simplicity of a system that allows me to run a fun game. The new games don't give me that.

Last month I had a rough RPG session that I REFfed that went badly. I fell out of love with RPG & had zero desire to run anything. Recently, I've got back into reading (Dungeon Crawler Carl), had a great chat with the Breakfast in the Ruins gang, & watched this video. Feeling a lot better now!

Whatever you do, don't stare at it directly. It'll burn your eyes and lead to permanent brain damage. Honestly, it's best avoided completely. But enough about Mrs Browns Boys - enjoy the eclipse.

As with everything, it depends. I mean, if it can add some tension or drama to a scene, then yes. If it just serves as yet another bit of mechanical housekeeping, then no.

I was having a great kickboxing lesson last night. Really hard but rewarding. Then, 2 minutes of the lesson to go, I twisted my knee when I was getting up from the floor. To be clear, no injuries when I was doing the actual training, just when I WAS GETTING UP OFF THE FLOOR! So embarrassing.

A large yeti attacking a group of adventurers with its claws. The caption reads: 'You know it's cold when the yeti's nipples are hard enough to count as melee weapons.' Also, the yeti has weirdly prominent nipples.
