OH. right! i get it now!

i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone quotes the product link to a thing they're protesting. Like we know you're not going to buy the new Layton game. You don't have to do Level 5's job of spreading the word as well. I've seen more of that sloppy box art than I care to have ever wanted.

I think it's safe to assume any Japanese game company that has ever said a positive thing about AI is probably using it in their process now. People are mad at Level 5 and Konami because their AI disclosures, but I don't think people are critical or skeptical enough of Square Enix or Capcom.

The most reassuring thing about the new zelda ocarina of time previews is aside from over abundance of "detail", it's still the same game and content at its core. Which means I'll be missing out on nothing sticking to the original and 3DS remake.

I didn’t even see this had been announced. I was lead writer on this one! And Saber replaced me with ChatGPT midway through development. All the passenger voices were AI too. Either they changed direction at some point or they’re not disclosing it on Steam

Maybe we need to accept it’s alright to let a series remain in the past. ATLA was a great series. I can always go back to it. I don’t want or need a new Avatar series if it is going to cut out its identity( ie removing the hanzi) or outsource its creativity to hacks or machines.
