My fiber internet has been unreliable lately, ever since Verizon purchased it. sometimes it goes out for several days at a time. Luckily Verizon has a new modem which includes a 5g connection! for just a subscription fee my internet can be reliable again. capitalism solves problems folks.

rightwingers keep talking about how books can be dangerous to children. just saw some article where a chatbot 1984 removed from a library because could be upsetting to children. reading is an active task one has to continually choose to do... if a kid is upset by a book then they'll stop reading.

the east newspapers praised Arthur's veto of the first act. you should note the republican president vetoed the first act because he decided the 20 year ban was in violation of a treaty and then reluctantly signed the second act which was a 10 year ban. he didn't agree with banning Chinese workers.

it's important to note the 1882 Chinese exclusion act was an even split in congress. not really an republican majority. republicans since Lincoln and grant had been steadily moving towards a rightwing party dedicated to money and corporations. republicans in 1882 were already betraying Lincoln.
